The Face of Love (Part 1)

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 KJV

A compilation June 21, 2016

Life is not fair. Job understood this when he said, “Man that is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble.”1 In a country that is as rich as ours, millions of people go to bed hungry every night. That is, if they are lucky enough to have a bed or a home, for that matter. The amazing thing is, many people blame God for the misfortunes of humanity.

On a very cold, winter’s day, a young girl stood on a busy street corner begging for food, money, or whatever she could get. She stood there cold and shivering as vicious winds penetrated her thin, tattered clothes. Hundreds of people walked past her but only a few dared to look in her direction. A well-dressed, prosperous looking gentleman looked at the young girl and shook his head before getting into his expensive automobile. When he arrived at his huge, warm, luxurious home, he sat down at the dinner table with his family and began to feast on a meal that was fit for a king.

After eating his dessert, his mind went back to the hungry little girl that he had seen earlier. As he thought about her thin, dirty, shivering body, he started questioning God for allowing such conditions to exist. He said, “God, how can you let this happen? Why don’t you do something to help that little girl?” He heard God responding to his question with the words, “I did. I created you.”

God blesses us so that we can bless others. But instead, too many people have subscribed to the philosophy, “I got mine. You get yours.” They don’t care if you have enough food as long as their refrigerator is full. They don’t care if gangs terrorize your neighborhood as long as their community is safe. They don’t care if you have health care as long as their family is insured. There are a lot of problems in this world. But God has already done what He needs to do to solve them. He created you.—Burton Barr Jr.

Who is my neighbor?

“Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself,” Jesus said. “Who is my neighbor?” they asked Him. And with the story of the good Samaritan, He tried to show them that it is anyone who needs our help, regardless of their race, creed, color, nationality, or condition.2

The good Samaritan is a wonderful story about the poor guy that got beat up along the road by thieves, and the good Samaritan picked him up and took him to the inn and told the innkeeper, “Whatever you spend, I will repay you.” Who was the good Samaritan like? The Good Samaritan was like the Lord, and the innkeeper is his steward, like you or me. And whatever we spend to rescue people and save souls, He will more than repay!

“Whatever thou spendest,” He says, “I will repay.” No matter how much we sacrifice, I will say with the great pioneer missionary, dear Dr. David Livingstone, that “you cannot outgive God.” He said, “I never made a sacrifice! No matter how much I gave, God always gave me back more.”

So I think you’re going to find out you haven’t really sacrificed at all in giving to others. You’ve invested, and the returns are going to be far beyond anything you have invested. The greatest investment we have to make, of course, is ourselves, our lives and our time for others.

I believe God is going to bless every sacrifice we make, not only eternally with the souls of those we lead to Him, but He’s also going to bless us every other way in the bargain. We may temporarily look like we’re losing something or sacrificing a little, but look at later!

So we never lose by giving; we only benefit. “He that withholdeth, it tendeth to poverty, but he that scattereth abroad, it increaseth.”3

2 Luke 10:29–37.
3 Proverbs 11:24.

The Face of Love - Final

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39 ESV

The person who is willing to seemingly lose is going to be the gainer. “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” Jesus Himself said, “He that saveth his life shall lose it, but he that loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.”4 And a lot of other people’s lives as well!—David Berg

Nothing rivals God’s love

Nothing rivals the power of God’s love. It has the ability to heal a broken heart, repair a deep emotional wound, and mend a shattered relationship. In the end, love makes all things new. The apostle Paul understood this. He wrote, “If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.”5 In other words, without the love of God in his life, he was no more than an empty tin can. The same is true for us.

On a scale of one to ten, the love of God is a ten—surpassing all other virtues in importance. Love is patient and kind—long-suffering and full of hope and encouragement. It never discourages. It always builds and refuses to tear down. It is never in a hurry. It is not forceful, demanding, or self-centered.

Love waits for God’s best, whenever and whatever that may be. It does not panic in the face of trial, defeat, or fear. It won’t grasp for human solutions but always seeks to do God’s will. Love is kind, gentle, and understanding. It acts in the best interest of others, overlooks offenses, and is extravagant when it comes to giving to others.

“It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”6 It waits for God to promote and exalt. It credits Him for any personal success, while acknowledging the contributions of others. It always applauds the godly gain of another and does not flaunt or taunt, but bends its knee in humility.

Love is not rude. It is polite and courteous—even to those who are ill-mannered, ill-tempered, and hurtful. True love is never self-seeking, but thinks of others first. Love is not irritated by the behavior of others. It refuses to judge, leaving that to God. It does not keep a mental record of offenses. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It meets each day with cheer and a smile. It thinks upon good things and is happy in simple obedience to God.

Paul concludes his description by writing, “Love never fails,”7 and the love of God never will. Not only does this indicate that His love will never run out; it also means that whatever the situation, the proper response always is love. When we extend the love of God to others—especially those who have hurt and opposed us—we are set free from feelings of bitterness, anger, rejection, hostility, and unforgiveness.

Learning to love God and others the way He loves you will lead you to discover places in your heart where you would never venture on your own. One thing is for sure: when you live in the light of His love, you will come to know the intimate care of a loving heavenly Father.—Charles Stanley

The Difference-Maker

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63 KJV

Written by David Berg August 2011

Some Christian denominations, as well as some other religions, teach that suffering and sadness are measures of spirituality or religiosity, but it’s supposed to be just the opposite. God doesn’t intend for religion to be grievous, and Jesus certainly didn’t make it that way.

I don’t see how people can be truly happy until they have their deepest needs met. Even if they have everything they could wish for materially, they need something to satisfy their spiritual hunger. Thank God, Jesus does that!

My religion makes me happy, and even my work makes me happy because I know it does people some good. When I’m sick or suffer loss or face other serious problems, I may not feel very happy for a while, but even that doesn’t destroy my overall happiness. My physical condition or present circumstance may leave a little something to be desired, but I can still be happy in spirit.

I have very little to be unhappy about. The only thing I can think of that I want is for other people to be as happy as I am. That’s the only real longing or need that I have—the desire to help others understand how much Jesus has to offer, so they can be happy too. That’s why I take every opportunity to urge others to open their hearts and lives to Him, because I know they will discover the same happiness I have found. If people see that I’m happy and they’re not, they wonder what makes that difference, and they want it for themselves. The difference, of course, is Jesus.

Joy of the Lord

Having the joy of the Lord is part of our example as Christians, but that’s not the only reason we should pursue it; we also need it ourselves. “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”1 That joy is found in spending time with Jesus—“In Your presence is fullness of joy.”2 It’s found in taking in His Word—“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.”3 And it’s found in putting the Word into practice—“If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.”4—Maria Fontaine

The high road

True, lasting contentment isn’t found in our possessions or circumstances, but in staying close to God and following His plan for our lives.—Virginia Berg

1. Nehemiah 8:10
2. Psalm 16:11
3. John 15:11
4. John 13:17 KJV

God will use everything you've got if you'll let Him.

"The gifts and calling of God are without repentance" (Rom.11:29), meaning God doesn't change His mind when He passes out the talents.--He knows who to give them to. And since God was preparing you for His Service even before you were saved, He's undoubtedly going to use your hidden talents at some time or other, sooner or later, if you'll just be patient and faithful! (Gal.6:9)

The Lord needs you, and would surely like to use you to help other people. There's so much work to be done, and God needs every ounce of talent that you've got! So you would be wise to sit down and say, "Now God, what do You want me to do?"--Stand back and size up the situation: "This is my calling, but not that. These are my talents, but not that. This is what God wants me to do, this, but not that."

Lord, You know what's best. Give each of us the faith and vision we need, to catch a vision for whatever ministry we are best suited, the faith to exercise it and the willingness to take the initiative to do it! In Jesus's name! God's Will be done!--And it will, in spite of any of us; but don't miss the blessing by missing your part! May you invest your talents well and reap great reward! Hallelujah! Use all your talents!

His Anointing - Final

Embedded image from another site

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5 KJV

Faith that trusts even though you seem to stand alone. Faith that trusts when your heart is sinking and it aches within you. Faith that trusts when you do not understand, and when you cannot feel. Faith that believes and looks on in the face of discouragement. Faith that is sturdy and stout and will not be moved by doubt. Faith that hopes. Faith that believes in Me. Faith that stands on My Word. Faith that marches on and endures all things, knowing that I will not fail and cannot fail.

This gift of faith is faith that will move mountains, and will stand when all else fails, faith that will change the world and conquer the minds and hearts of men. This anointing of faith that I give to you is the victory that will overcome the world.

Do not fear for the times of testing that tumble about you. Know that through these I am able to give you a great gift of faith. This great faith is a work of My hand; it is My gift to you. It descends from above as you simply place your trust in Me, regardless of the circumstances you face.

I am working and I will come alive within you as you walk on and simply trust. Be encouraged, for you will know Me in ways that you have never known before. Rest now. Have peace. I am near! Eye has not seen, nor has ear heard, the things that I have prepared for you who accept this gift of faith that I freely give to all who ask.

Establishing the connection

“I own the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird on the mountains, and all the animals of the field are mine. … All the world is mine and everything in it. Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High. Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”—Psalm 50:10–12, 14–15 (4)

As the master of the universe, all true riches and abundance belong to Me. I have in My hands all that you ask for, all that you seek, and all that you strive for.

I am willing and able to bless you in the ways that you seek, but I can only fully bless you and supply for you when you place your trust in Me and have faith in My will and plan for your life. As you do your part to place your trust fully in Me, I will never fail to guide and keep you, and give you the perseverance and strength to overcome everything you meet throughout your life journey.

Take the time to be like Mary, who was content to sit at My feet, listen to My words, and spend time with Me. Then you will find the strength for your work, and it will be blessed. You will reap dividends of faith and peace that will give you the strength to travel down the path of My will.

The secret is found in spending time with Me—time in My Word, time to be strengthened, to have your faith renewed and your connection and link with Me established. That is the secret to overcoming and success.

His Anointing (Part 1)

Embedded image from another site

For I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you, Romans 1:11 ESV

Words from Jesus AUGUST 25, 2016

“You have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.”—1 John 2:201

I have a mantle just for you that I drape over your shoulders. It is My anointing. It is the presence of My Spirit in you. It is the strength and encouragement that you need. This mantle is available to all who love Me and serve Me, but each one is different, for it must fit the wearer. Each one is different in color, in size, and in tailoring—and yours is tailored just for you!

I clothe all My servants with the mantle of My anointing—not to cover up, but to enhance. You have the mantle of My Spirit, with its power, love, wisdom, and truth. Never forget that you wear it; it is a symbol of My presence and a great honor.

I have chosen you and anointed you, because you have chosen Me. I have ordained you to go and bring forth much fruit, fruit that will remain. You are worthy, because I gave My life for you. I paid the price. You have been ransomed, and your ransom has been paid.

I love you, and I know that you serve Me because you love Me. What can separate you from this love? Nothing. Even when you are tempted or when you stumble and fall, you will always find My way of escape, and the mantle of My Spirit will always guide and protect you.

Strength in quietness

“For thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, ‘In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.’”—Isaiah 30:15 (2)

You cannot receive the full power, love, and wisdom that you need unless you take time in quietness, seeking Me and praising Me. There are always so many things to be done, and it is a constant temptation to hurry, to push ahead, to accomplish. But I say to you, in quietness and confidence will be your strength. For it is in quietness that you will hear the still, small voice of God speaking to you, saying, “This is the way, walk ye in it.”

Great power, wisdom, and love can be found in quietness, in My peace that surpasses all understanding. If you could see the spiritual gifts that I have for you and the strength that I can empower you with! If you could see tangibly, with your eyes, the answers that I have for you and the anointing of My Spirit upon you, you would have greater understanding and you would not fail to take the time to stop and be guided by My still, small voice.

So often your earthly vision is clouded and all that you can see is that there is so much to do, and you feel compelled to labor and labor some more. But I have asked you to labor to enter into My rest. As you do so, I will strengthen, anoint, empower, and guide you.

It is at those times that I instruct and guide you, and it is in those quiet moments when you access the wisdom available to you through My Word. So don’t neglect to come to Me in quietness, and in so doing, receive all that I have for you. As you do so, you will find that your life, your relationships, your job and your ministry will flow so much more smoothly! I can anoint you with the wisdom that you seek and the strength that you need by My Spirit.

The anointing of great faith

“Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory.”—1 Peter 1:21 (3)

I honor you with the high calling of discipleship. I honor you with the blessing of great faith in Me. I anoint you with the gift of great faith that trusts when it’s difficult to trust. Faith that keeps on believing when all seems to go wrong.

Radiant Imprints

Embedded image from another site

By Maria Fontaine July 2016

“He (Jesus) is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of God’s nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power.”1

Jesus described Himself as “the light of the world,”2 but have you ever contemplated what that means? Jesus is the radiant brilliance of the Father that shines into our lives, manifesting the love and nature of God, illumining our way to the Father so that we can experience and ultimately come to understand who God is.

John 1 says that “In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.”3 We couldn’t live without physical light that nourishes our bodies and the physical world around us. Likewise, without the spiritual light of God who is the source of all life, we would be spiritually lost and in “the shadow of death.” The Bible says concerning Jesus, “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned.”4

When Jesus came to earth, He brought us the spiritual life of God that frees those who receive it, delivering them from death.5 That’s the essence of what salvation is: God sent His light to us, which is the source of eternal life, and when we take Jesus into our lives, we start to be filled with the brightness and life of God.

And Jesus is more than just the light, as incomprehensibly amazing as that is. He is also the imprint of God’s nature.

An imprint is a mark that identifies the maker, and God’s imprint in Jesus is the nature of God Himself. Jesus manifested God the Father’s nature through all He said and did. He presented God in a way that we, His human creations, could understand. As we look at Jesus and His life, we see glimpses of the very nature of God, the love of God, the expectations of God for us, and the mercy, forgiveness, and compassion of our God who has given us so much more than we could ask or imagine.6

We see a God who will face even the greatest of sacrifices for the results they will bring,7 who cares enough to seek out the lost and patiently guide them into His arms.8

We see God’s nature in every miracle, in every word of forgiveness and hope Jesus spoke, and in His love that sees the good and possibilities, even when we’re at our worst. We see the tender gentleness as well as the fury against evil. Best of all, we see the way that God’s imprint on us can cause His light to shine out of our lives too and illumine others.9

God’s radiance, Jesus, came into this world in such a small form: as a baby in a stable. So few even took notice. Yet He became the greatest thing that ever happened, providing salvation for all who would accept Him. As we grow closer to Jesus, we can increasingly radiate God’s Spirit in this life and ultimately throughout the universe and eternity.

Who would have imagined that such a troubled and seemingly “unblessed” beginning for that tiny new life would usher in the radiant imprint of God’s life and glory and sovereignty for all to see?

So if you feel like things have gone wrong in your life and are looking pretty bleak right now, you can still rejoice. If you have Jesus in your life, even the smallest space holds the potential for glorious things.

That’s cause to face your day with a smile, because through the radiance of God’s nature made flesh for you, your future couldn’t be more wonderful.

Surprise!

Embedded image from another site

Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.--A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; Jeremiah 31:13 - Ecclesiastes 3:4

By Mara Hodler July 2016

How about those moments when life is moving along smoothly, it looks like you have a good view of where things are headed, you’re making progress … and then all of a sudden, surprise! A total about-face happens. Something that forces you to change and pushes you in a different direction. A complete game changer.

I find those “surprise” moments kind of scary. Having no control over a situation feels like a free fall. Not my thing! It’s at those times when my best-laid plans are strewn around me like worthless debris that I hear in my head the words, “Man proposes, but God disposes.”

I have the choice to just “go with it” or try to force and steer things back to my cherished plans. Really, it’s not so much of a choice as it is a mental attitude. Half the time, the outcome is obvious, and holding on to my plans is clearly only going to prolong the inevitable. Still, it’s hard to let go.

It’s like a good salsa dance. When two people have danced together for a long time, they learn to “read” each other and can ad-lib a dance perfectly and in perfect synchronization. In traditional salsa, the man is the leader, and the woman is attuned to his slightest pulls and guides, moving her body to follow his lead. When the couple is in sync, their movements become an extension of each other, and it’s amazing! A couple that is out of sync is pretty sad to watch. They step on each other’s toes, sometimes even fall, and at best, lack the gracefulness that the dance is supposed to convey.

Embedded image from another site

I sometimes picture my life as a dance. When those “surprises” come into play, I can almost hear Jesus saying, Come on. We’ve been dancing together for so long, you know how to follow. Just let Me lead and I will make this dance spectacular.

I know in my heart that if I let Him take control, I won’t trip and fall. But it can be hard to surrender to His lead. Usually the reason is that I feel I’ve worked hard on practicing the previous routine and learning every step, and I don’t want to change. Sometimes I try to lead. And the results are, well … pathetic.

Surrender is not a common first reaction. It’s human nature to become attached to a certain outcome. We like to think we have control. We put a lot of energy into planning, and it’s hard to think that it can all be wasted by one event that nullifies our plans.

Here’s the funny thing, though: when it comes to dancing, all the routines, all the carefully choreographed dances rehearsed over and over are what allow a couple to abandon the planned dance and spontaneously create a whole new dance.

Some of the most amazing people I know recognize these troublous interjections as an invitation to a special dance. They trust so well that they are able to skip the struggle and sway in time.

The good news is that I can be sure there will be more surprises, and I have the opportunity to practice getting better at flowing instead of struggling. As I write this, I know that there are going to be unexpected happenings and events ahead that I could not have predicted. My prayer is that I will flow with the dance, and that I will not resist or struggle—at least not so much that I ruin the dance.

Jesus wants to make your life extraordinary, and He’ll use every little twirl, dip, bend, and lift to create the most beautiful dance, if you’ll just flow with it.

Spiritual Communications - Final

Embedded image from another site

Washington's own contemporaries did not question his Christianity but were thoroughly convinced of his devout faith--a fact made evident in the first-ever compilation of the The Writings of George Washington, published in the 1830s.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 KJV

And no matter what scientific names they call it, it's still spiritual power in operation in the realm of the spirit. If they were able to scientifically analyze it they'd probably call it natural--natural forces, natural powers. But the Lord has made a distinction between the things of the spirit and the things of the flesh. You usually think of the flesh and material things as natural, and the things in the realm of the spirit as spiritual and supernatural.

So whether they know it or not, they are using the power of the spirit. And if they don't have the Lord in their heart, it has to be the Devil no matter what good they are trying to do. There are literal spiritual forces behind the scenes with which they're dealing, and in so doing they're really playing with fire! They're really taking chances because they're not necessarily protected by the Lord. But if you're a child of God, none of these things can touch you!

How wonderful it is if you have faith and you're the Lord's child! You see the good and you feel good and you praise the Lord and are thankful. You're on His channel and you're getting His vibes all the time. You're constantly hearing from Him and you're hearing His voice all the time in the mind's eye, your spirit. All day long and even at night in your sleep you're receiving the Lord's communication.

If you're in the Lord, then you're His child, and you don't have anything to worry about.--You shouldn't fear, you shouldn't worry. You know the Lord's protecting you, He keeps you, He hallows you round about and gives His angels charge over you.

Thank You, Lord, that you have not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Thou shalt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee, for perfect love casts out all fear, and greater is He that is in us, Lord, than he that is in the World. All we have to do is resist the Enemy and he will flee from us, Lord!

Help Thy children not to fear, Lord, not to worry, not to talk about the Devil or his power more than absolutely necessary. Teach Thy children and warn them to stay close to You, Lord, and in Your realm of protection.

We rest in You, Lord, we sleep in Thee, in the hollow of Thy arms, Thy hands, under Thy wings, Thy secret place. We abide under the shadow of the Almighty. It's like Your special force field around us, Lord, like an aura, a special kind of glory that protects us. We thank You for how You keep us and protect us!

May God help you to have good spiritual communication with Him and each other! May He help you to get your signals straight and not get your wires crossed! If you stay close to Him and each other, you will! If you stay in His Will and obey, you'll have a strong, clear channel and really get the picture tuned in loud and clear!--Amen? God bless and keep you in good spiritual communication with Him and us!

Spiritual Communications (Part 2)

The Temptation of Jesus Matthew 4:8-10 Berean Bible

WE PRAY IN THE SPIRIT AND OUR PRAYERS HAVE MORE EFFECT BECAUSE WE PRAY BY THE SPIRIT HIMSELF, by His power, which is exactly what God wants in His Will in His own Spirit. In a sense, we become almost like the reflectors ourselves, and God is issuing the influence and God Himself gets the desired effect.

BUT THE ENEMY, OF COURSE, HAS HIS POWER AND COMMUNICATION WITH HIS CHILDREN and they with him. And if they're his child he can answer their prayers within certain God given limitations. Especially if it is a child of the Devil praying to the Devil for or against another child of the Devil. That's his realm, his kingdom. That's where he's allowed to operate, control and influence, and be influenced by and controlled by, in a sense, his children, children of the Devil, just like God is by His Children.

Embedded image from another site

WHAT ABOUT THE CASES OF SO CALLED WITCHCRAFT, WIZARDRY, BLACK MAGIC, casting of so-called spells upon people, the influencing of people from a distance sometimes called telepathic hypnosis? In that case, the Enemy acts as a relay station, and his spiritual power amplifies and transmits the message. Satan's child communicates with the Devil and if it's in accordance with the Devil's will, and not beyond the powers God has given him, then he can operate to influence other children of the Devil, one way or the other. Science, of course, would call this telepathic hypnosis. They have already proven the influence and results of personal hypnosis, face-to-face hypnosis in the presence of the hypnotist, and are now having to consider even further the possibilities of the power of suggestion, that if it can be done face-to-face, why can't it be done at a longer distance.

THE POWER OF THE LORD, OF COURSE, IS GREATER! "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world." In other words God is saying, "My power in you is much greater than the Devil's power in the world's children, his children--much greater!"--So if we have the power of the Lord, we have Christ, we have the Holy Spirit. We don't have to worry or fear Satan's power because we are protected by the power of the Holy Spirit, which is far greater than the power of the Enemy.

Embedded image from another site

THE LORD'S PROTECTION IS JUST LIKE A FORCE FIELD AROUND US AND THE ENEMY CANNOT PENETRATE IT! It's impossible for him to penetrate it unless the Lord allows him to do it as a spanking, as a chastening, as a reaping of something you have done that you haven't confessed or you're not sorry for. The Lord allows you to reap the results.

But God takes care of you even when you're out of His Will. He may let you suffer a little bit for it and let one of the imps give you a little spanking, but He takes care of you, PTL! The Devil can't get in you, he can't control you, he can't harm a hair of your head, can't touch you, without the Lord's permission.

Embedded image from another site

Science is really studying E.S.P., telepathic communication and telepathic hypnosis in certain universities now because there are so many proved instances of E.S.P.--People suddenly waking the moment a friend or loved one died and knowing that they're dead and so on. E.S.P. means Extra Sensory Perception.

It's all very real and science is beginning to recognize it more and more all the time. They can no longer deny that these things exist. They've been proven by actual experience and experimentation; they know they're real beyond a shadow of a doubt.

"God is SPIRIT and they that communicate with Him must do so in Spirit and in Truth."--"Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." See: John 4:24 - 2 Corinthians 3:17 - 2 Peter 1:19 KJV

By David Berg September, 1975

Girl communicating in the spirit with the Lord
GOD SIMPLY SAYS IN THE BIBLE THAT HE ANSWERS YOUR PRAYERS, because if He had tried to explain prayer scientifically all these years people never would have understood. If He had said the sun doesn't really rise but the Earth is revolving on its axis, they wouldn't have understood! He answers your prayers, He translates those prayers, He amplifies their power and the desire of that prayer to influence the person you're praying for.--You have actual influence on them through your prayers.

THE SPIRITUAL POWER OF GOD WORKS FOR YOU, and you, in a sense when you're empowered by the Spirit, are used by God's Spirit. You use His Spirit to communicate, to pray, to edify, to receive information from His broadcasting station, sort of mutual use.

YOU AND GOD ARE USING EACH OTHER JUST LIKE TWO PEOPLE WHO LOVE EACH OTHER! It's a two-way street. You're both giving and are receiving at the same time, like a transceiver that both transmits and receives. I like to dwell on that which is good. Your prayer actually is an influence in itself, it has power. It does things because God lets it, or empowers it to do so. God empowers it to take effect.

When you're in tune and praying according to His Will with the right wave length or vibes on the right channel, He receives it and amplifies it and lets it do what you intend for it to do. It's two-way and if you love the Lord, what you receive from Him is good and ministers faith, joy, hope, love and praise. The vibes you get off the Lord are all good things. But there is a dark side of the picture, sad to say.

IF GOD HAS MEANS OF COMMUNICATION IN THE SPIRIT WORLD, WHAT ABOUT THE DEVIL? Do you think he has?--Of course he does. Does he have children? Just like God has His Children, the Devil has his captives, and he has his means of communication.

JUST LIKE GOD'S SPIRIT CAN POSSESS US, THE DEVIL'S SPIRIT CAN POSSESS HIS CHILDREN! And therefore, so-called witchcraft, demonology, etc., is a reality in the world of the evil spirits of the Enemy. God's children can pray to the Lord and ask Him to answer and affect certain people for good, and so can the Devil's children communicate with him and project. God has given the Devil certain powers, particularly over his children, those that aren't protected by the Spirit of God, those who have rejected Christ.

THE LORD GIVES PEOPLE A CERTAIN IMMUNITY TO THE INFLUENCE OF SATAN up to the point of decision. "He that being often reproved and hardeneth his neck shall suddenly be destroyed!" Every time they resist the truth they are hardening their spirit against the Lord, and therefore, if we reject the truth we receive strong delusion that we may believe a lie.--Those who are the Devil's children, at least. Until someone reaches that point and if he's not made the final decision, as long as God's Spirit is still dealing with him, he still has a certain immunity or merciful protection.

GOD'S SPIRIT PROTECTS AND OVERSHADOWS THE LITTLE CHILDREN until they have made their choice or come to the age of accountability, unless they are the children of unclean parents. The Lord's child, if he's in the spirit, will be in tune with His protective power and under the shelter of His wings.

A Compilation January 2016

Many of God’s promises are conditional, requiring some initial action on our part. Once we begin to obey, He will begin to bless us. Great things were promised to Abraham, but not one of them could have been obtained had he waited in Chaldea. He had to leave his home, friends, and country, travel unfamiliar paths, and press on in unwavering obedience in order to receive the promises. The ten lepers Jesus healed were told to show themselves to the priest, and “as they went, they were cleansed.” If they had waited to see the cleansing come to their bodies before leaving, they would never have seen it. God was waiting to heal them, and the moment their faith began to work, the blessing came.

When the Israelite's were entrapped by Pharaoh’s pursuing army at the Red Sea, they were commanded to “go forward.” No longer was it their duty to wait, but to rise up from bended knees and “go forward” with heroic faith. Years later the Israelite's were commanded to show their faith again by beginning their march over the Jordan while the river was at its highest point. They held the key to unlock the gate into the Land of Promise in their own hands, and the gate would not begin to turn on its hinges until they had approached and unlocked it. The key was faith.

We are destined to fight certain battles, and we think we can never be victorious and conquer our enemies. Yet as we enter the conflict, One comes who fights by our side. Through Him we are “more than conquerors.” If we had waited in fear and trembling for our helper to come before we would enter the battle, we would have waited in vain. God is waiting to pour out His richest blessings on you. “Go forward” with bold confidence and take what is yours. “I have begun to deliver ... Now begin to conquer and possess.”
—J. R. Miller (1840–1912)

Leave not the business of today to be done tomorrow; for who knows what may be your condition tomorrow? The rose-garden, which today is full of flowers, when tomorrow you would pluck a rose, may not afford you one.—Firdausi (940–1020)

For God's sake, don't praise man!--Praise God! Give Him all the glory!

At the Tower of Babel, the people said, "Now we're going to make a name for ourselves!--Look how big we are, how mighty and how powerful we are! Look how wonderful we are, how great we are! Behold us, we are the people!" And they forgot to give God the credit. They failed to give Him the glory, so God came down and smote them and scattered them and made them a total wreck. (Gen.11:1-9)

One of the biggest dangers you have is to begin thinking too highly of yourself. (Rom.12:3) The minute you start patting yourself on the back, God will see to it that you're humbled to bring you out of it. (1Cor.10:12) He's a jealous God, and He wants and deserves all the glory, and will have no other gods before Him! (Exo.20:5; Isa.42:8)

"Whatsoever you do in word or in deed, do ALL to the glory of GOD!" (1Cor.10:31; Col.3:17) That is our prayer, that we will please the Lord and do everything we do in word or in deed, to His glory! So whatsoever we do or say today, Lord, do help us to do all to Thy glory. "And God forbid that I should boast, save in My Savior, Jesus Christ, our Lord, to Whom be the glory forever and ever!" (Gal.6:14)

The Old Church And The New Church - Final

"I will have a New Bride who will love Me!"--Old Love, New Love.

SHE IT IS THAT LOVETH ME, not this one that would save her life and her reputation by compromise with the Beast and would save her glory and ornaments and houses by pleasing man, but rather this little one that hath forsaken all--houses and lands and family and friends and have made themselves of no reputation and have worn the tattered sackcloth dipped in blood and carried the simple staff of power and been enyoked in the bondage of My love and obedient to My slightest command.
**
BUT THESE ARE THEY WHICH ARE VIRGINS IN MY SIGHT, who follow the Lamb wheresoever He goeth, and who minister unto Me and who are not contaminated by the things of this world--the things in which her soul delighted--but their delight is only in Me--their joy is only in My presence and they do follow Me wheresoever I go, even through Great Tribulation.

THEY WILL NEVER LEAVE NOR FORSAKE ME as she hath done in the hour of her prosperity. For she did desert Me in the hour of her power--in the hour of her glory and did dote upon herself and her own things, but these have followed Me with nothing, even through Great Tribulation, because they loved Me and Me alone.

BUT THERE SHALL BE THOSE OF HER CHILDREN THAT SHALL STONE THEE and beat thee and shall say unto thee, "Why dost thou not honour this, our mother? Has she not been faithful through many years and ages and times? Hath she not preserved us over the centuries? Hath she not made unto us homes and palaces and nourished us and clothed us in fine linen? Is she not our Mother? Why, therefore dost thou disown her and dishonor her to us, and take unto thee this one who is nothing--contemptible in her sight, despicable unto us, who is nobody, and how doth thou flaunt her in our face to shame us and dishonor our Mother?

AND THERE WILL BE THOSE OF HER CHILDREN THAT WILL BELIEVE THEM and follow them and say, "These things ought not to be so, for have we not done many mighty works in His name and are we not also called by His name? Is He not our Husband? Have we not dwelt in His house and have been clothed in His raiment and fed at His table? How shall they say unto us then that we are not His, that we are no longer His bride, and that we have been cast forth as the shameful ones? How could He cast us aside? Are we not His temple?"

BUT I SHALL SAY UNTO THEM, "DEPART FROM ME, ye workers of iniquity, I never knew you, for I was an hungered and ye gave me no food, thirsty and ye gave me no drink, in prison and ye visited Me not, naked and ye clothed Me not, and I was alone and ye loved Me not, but rather ye doted upon your own children and upon your own ways and your own houses and upon others and ye departed from Me in heart long ago--not I from thee."

THEREFORE HATH THY MOTHER ALREADY DEPARTED, lo, these many years for I was gone from her and she sought Me not. She even wist not that I was not there, and she knew not that My love was gone from her, because she hath forsaken Me in her heart and honoreth Me with her lips only, for she willfully goeth her own way, despite My entreaties and she leadeth others astray with her, for she hath many children and many do follow her. She hath led them all astray.

EVEN SO, MY MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER and My loving-kindness unto all generations if they will return unto Me. Therefore, though they reject thee, still I will love them and receive them. For if she would but return unto Me, I would receive her.

But these faithful ones, these little ones whom they buffeted, shall be raised to everlasting glory, and shall shine as the stars--as they that turn many to righteousness, and as those that remain faithful through Great Tribulation.
