A thought of reminiscence

As my eyes were about having closure on the day that just passed by, a lonely tear drops by. It took my right eye by surprise and left my eyelids wondering why???
As this strange and lonely tear,,, gradually voyage along my cheek,,, a thought of reminiscence invaded my peace.

Even though that my mind was in total shutdown, my lips started to whisper that name. My ears did not hear that name but all my thoughts kneel in grace for such reminiscence. Slowly my chest took long and deep breath as if it was its last with sound of sob shattering the silence of darkness that held my eyes in captivity.

Yet, within such gloomy mood, a song of ecstasy started to play by the strange and lonely tear. It was then and only then, everything started to make sense. My lips moved to smile, my eyelashes shivered into dance and my cheek embraced this strange and lonely, yet happy tear.

So you see, even though you are too far away from my reach, in my arms as well as my memories, your thought will always make me smile no matter how much this world around me is dark and gloomy without you.

I've Never Been To Me ( Charlene )

Hey lady, you lady, cursing at your life
You're a discontented mother and a regimented wife
I've no doubt you dream about the things you'll never do
But, I wish someone had talked to me
Like I wanna talk to you.....

Oh, I've been to Georgia and California and anywhere I could run
I took the hand of a preacher man and we made love in the sun
But I ran out of places and friendly faces because I had to be free
I've been to paradise but I've never been to me

Please lady, please lady, don't just walk away
'Cause I have this need to tell you why I'm all alone today
I can see so much of me still living in your eyes
Won't you share a part of a weary heart that has lived million lies....

Oh, I've been to Niece and the Isle of Greece while I've sipped champagne on a yacht
I've moved like Harlow in Monte Carlo and showed 'em what I've got
I've been undressed by kings and I've seen some things that a woman ain't supposed to see
I've been to paradise, but I've never been to me

Hey, you know what paradise is?
It's a lie, a fantasy we create about people and places as we'd like them to be
But you know what truth is?
It's that little baby you're holding, it's that man you fought with this morning
The same one you're going to make love with tonight
That's truth, that's love......

Sometimes I've been to crying for unborn children that might have made me complete
But I took the sweet life, I never knew I'd be bitter from the sweet
I've spent my life exploring the subtle whoring that costs too much to be free
Hey lady......
I've been to paradise, (I've been to paradise)
But I've never been to me

Women in Islam

Salam to All, I am an active member of CS especially at the forums. since I joined, I have noticed threads that are discussing Islam issues posted by non-Muslims. It is truly Ok to ask or discuss any issue or topic you like, it is your right. However, in most threads if not all of them, it is used to bash and undermine Islam including Muslims especially from those that are less educated about Islam but more influenced by passive media.

It truly hurts me how some members behave aggressively by giving themselves the upper level of intelligence and knowledge to undermine more than one billion Muslims around the world most of them are non-Arab including those billions and billions Muslims that lived for the past 1400 years. Also, discarding and ignoring such Islamic civilization that existed for the past 1400 years which contributed immensely to the current science of mathematics, medicine, chemistry, astronomy, literature, art, finance and many many more of fields of science and sociology.

The last discussion was related to women issues especially the issue of France President Mr. Sarkozy comments about Muslim Women Veil. I did my best to point out the views and thoughts behind such issue in Islam which is not necessarily for you to accept but at least to understand and respect. This youtube video is also my input for you to be more informed about women in Islam including the issue of the Veil from a western American Muslim. He is doing a great job to introduce Islam and spread the word about Islam all around the world for people to be informed and not necessarily to be converted to Islam.

PS: IMHO, there is NO conversion of religion. I believe that all religions are continuation and completion to each other. They all praise for one God; Brahman, Yahweh, Father of Jesus and Allah.

May Peace and Pleasings of Allah be upon you all handshake

My Way!!

And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain

I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Regrets I've had a few
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption

I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Yes there were times I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out, I faced it all
And I stood tall and did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now as tears subside
I find it all so amusing

To think I did all that
And may I say not in a shy way
Oh no, no, not me
I did it my way

For what is a man what has he got
If not himself then he has not
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried.
Ive had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!

Also Song by Elvis Presley which is my favorite

Quote for the year 2008

'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.'

Thomas Jefferson 1802

Thomas Jefferson (April 13, 1743 – July 4, 1826) was the third President of the United States (1801–1809), the principal author of the Declaration of Independence (1776), and one of the most influential Founding Fathers for his promotion of the ideals of republicanism in the United States. Major events during his presidency include the Louisiana Purchase (1803) and the Lewis and Clark Expedition (1804–1806).

How to keep sanity?????

How to keep sanity in a world dominated by insanity?

Look around you truly and try to find the goodness in your life before the badness, the pluses before the negatives. Really sit down and bring two papers. Write on the first one good and the other bad. You could also name it positives and negatives. Then try to list down on each paper as points. It could be full sentence or just a single word. I am sure you will jump to fill the bad paper first but is up to you to start with anyone of them,, you can start with both at the same time. Take your time don’t rush into it. Give yourself more than one day to complete them both and you can have a good friend to help you too.

Then after you feel that you have listed down everything in your life such as; love, family, friends, health, body features, mental, work, finance, property, possessions, race, country, sex, memories, experience and anything around you that makes who you are at this moment in time. After you think that you have listed everything in your mind, start organizing it properly in full meaningful sentences. Then make a table with two columns; priority (from 1 to 10) and importance (from 100%).

Now start giving your rate to each item as you think and feel. Give it randomly no string attached. Once more take your time and you may visit each item as much as you need.

Finally, I am sure that while doing such practice you will find out that there are some items that cannot be categorized as good or bad, pluses or negatives, so remember this; anything that is not bad, it is good but anything that is not good it is not bad too. So, anything you think it is not bad but it at the good paper or just make another paper and call it common.

Also, you can notice from the list alone if you life is good or bad by how long the list goes. However, let me give you an analytical way to calculate it. Take the average for each column,,, See the overall average in your good list vs. your bad list, also, the importance in your good list vs. bad list. The higher number is your place in life at this moment. If the average of your good list is higher than your bad list you are in a good place. If the average of your good list is higher than your bad list, then you are in a good frame of mind. Note: at Priority category 1 is higher than 10.

However, if not??? Then you need a professional help and I am not joking but before you do that, go back to your lists and try to revise your scores with the following points in mind:
Priority: you should not have more than three items in the same level of priority. I am sure your list will not have more than 30 items. If it does??? Then you have to revise your list and you can see that some items can be merged into one, otherwise you need a professional help (now I am joking).

Importance: you have to know that all items importance must be a summing up of 100%. So you have to revise each one accordingly.

I am sure that you can learn more from those numbers such as if the values are more to the middle part of it such as 5 out of 10 and 50% then you are more at ease in life and more content.

Those are just my humble thoughts and I am not a professional help.

If You Go Away

If you go away, on this summers day
Then you might as well take the sun away
All the birds that flew in the summer sky
When our love was new and our hearts were high
When the day was young and the night was long
And the moon stood still for the night birds' song
If you go away, if you go away, if you go away
But if you stay, I'll make you a day
Like no day has been or will be again
We'll sail the sun, we'll ride on the rain
We'll talk to the trees and worship the wind
Then if you go, I'll understand
Leave me just enough love to hold in my hand
If you go away, if you go away, if you go away

If you go away, as I know you will
You must tell the world to stop turning till
You return again, if you ever do
For what good is love without loving you
Can I tell you now as you turn to go
I'll be dying slowly till the next hello
If you go away, if you go away, if you go away

But if you stay I'll make you a night
Like no night has been or will be again
I'll sail on your smile, I'll ride on your touch
I'll talk to your eyes that I love so much
But if you go I won't cry
Though the good is gone from the word goodbye
If you go away, if you go away, if you go away

If you go away as I know you must
There'll be nothing left in the world to trust
Just an empty room full of empty space
Like the empty look I see on your face
I'd have been the shadow of your dog
If I thought it might have kept me by your side
If you go away, if you go away, if you go away

sad flower

written by Rod McKuen as a translation of the original poem in French "Ne Me Quitte Pas" written by Jacques Brel 1959 (just trust me the English version is much better than the original in French) grin

It's impossible

It's impossible to tell the sun to leave the sky,
It's just impossible.
It's impossible to ask a baby not to cry,
It's just impossible.
Can I hold you closer to me
And not feel you going through me,
But the second that I never think of you?
Oh, how impossible.

Can the ocean keep from rushing to the shore?
It's just impossible.
If I had you could I ever ask for more?
It's just impossible.
And tomorrow, should you ask me for the world
Somehow I'd get it, I would sell my very soul
And not regret it for to live without your love
Is just impossible

Can the ocean keep from rushing to the shore?
It's just impossible.
If I had you could I ever ask for more?
It's just impossible.
And tomorrow, should you ask me for the world
Somehow I'd get it, I would sell my very soul
And not regret it for to live without your love
Is just impossible
Oh impossible,

Impossible sad flower
