The thief
That deadly thief comes when least expecting
the forces of God amount their defense
to fight that which takes life decreasing
The battle can be long, as it is defiant
Age adds little help of wisdom waning
and the physician alone is aging also
in natures course of ever renewing
the body of past days so and so
Each that once worked together conspire
now to each their own way of life
Greed is a disease too when desired
by the thief who needs the knife.
The thief desires life to please
but its life has its own disease
