second chance at being dad....
i became a father at 23. at that time of my life, leading the life i led,being dad was'nt a priority. in spite of myself, i grew up with my son. i survived the life i lived to become a grandfather, and to be with my son riding our bikes with no particular place in mind. of all the things i taught my son, i did'nt have the time to be there more. life turned out pretty good in spite of being me. at 49, i adopted a daughter from china. then another 4 years later. the one thing i've learned to give them is time. when my ex wanted to bring them to this rock to live, i followed. now, we're together 24/7. they have dads' undivided attention, and i have a second chance to be DAD. life be good..

the sun in the hills..
for those of you who are'nt familiar with the part of the world, let me tell you that this part hawai'i gets about 300(really)inches of rain a year. of course the temperature is always between 65 and 85, but it be wet here. now, today, the sun's been shining all day. so, at 6:15 hawai'i time, i'm headed for the garage to pull the beast out and ride down to hilo for a shot of tequilia, a bottle of bud, and a cigar. adois for now y'all......

morning rain on the rock...
it's about 9 a.m. here on the side of mauna kea. and, it's raining. normally, this normal occurance is just something we all live with. but this morning made it different because instead of fighting for space with my critters, i rolled over to a warm(though temperary) feel of a grown womans warmth. i've been a loner for a long time, and enjoy my own company, but on the occasion of the overnight encounter, i remember that i do miss that first mornings hug. maybe i'll find one that i want to stay one day......

bein me...
i'm just an old scooterbum. tattoos, jeans, boots, and my old harley. years back, i'd ride down the street on my leaky, noisy old bike and people would lock their doors and roll up their windows. i'd walk into a bar and people would scowl and move away. fast forward to today. everyone's got tattoos and harleys. everyones wearin jeans and boots. everyone wants to be me. damn! i miss bein infamous. damn rolex riders........
