Three Signs That You are Dating the Wrong Man

Dating is difficult. The television and movie industry would have people believe that finding their perfect match is simple and easy, but it's not always as simple as falling in love. Dating the wrong man for an extended period of time is a common issue. Here are three signs that you might be dating the wrong man.

You Aren't Comfortable Being Yourself Around Him

It's completely normal to feel like you have to be on your best behavior for the first few dates, but if you still haven't relaxed a few months into the relationship you might be with the wrong man. The right person should make you feel secure and comfortable, not like you have to put on a show. If you haven't relaxed into the relationship over time, you may want to evaluate whether or not your partner is the best fit for you.

You Don't Feel the Need to Talk About the Big Stuff

You should feel comfortable talking about tough topics with your significant other. If you don't feel like you can talk to him about anything but superficial topics, you're likely dating the wrong man for you. Over the course of a few months plans and topics that are important to you should come up, and you should feel comfortable discussing them honestly. If those topics haven't come up in conversation you may be afraid of rejection, or you may, subconsciously, not see your man in your future. Either way, it's a big red flag that your man isn't the man for you in the long run.

You Don't Want to Introduce Them to Your Family or Friends

The introduction of your significant other to your family and friends is a big step. In fact, it screams of commitment and long-term prospects. If you've dated a man for months and you still don't feel the urge to introduce him to your inner circle it may be a red flag that he isn't the guy for you. If you haven't met his family and friends after months of dating, he might not see you in his future either. There is probably a good reason for choosing to avoid being introduced, or introducing your significant other to the family, but none of them suggest the relationship has the roots it needs to last long term.

While finding the love of your life might seem like a hopeless journey sometimes, he is absolutely out there. You may have to weed through a ton of Mr. Wrongs before Mr. Right sweeps you off your feet, but recognizing the symptoms of a doomed relationship can help you move through the wrong ones quicker.
