Why is there such a lack of mental healthcare for

It angers me such much on this perticular topic! Sure the government and politicians throw money out the window, but can't the healthcare gurues see it and take action? I've seen so much emphasis on homeless mental health outreach, which is great mind you, but what about the kids coming home from shellshock? It just doesn't make sense that there is such a lack of programs to help the depression, anxiety, and of course...suicidal tendencies. It would seem that vets of Iraq and Afghanistan have been given a stigma of sorts! Yes...I know there are programs out there for P.T.S.D. but just not enough. We should show more kids coming home with still bloodied stumps and faces no longer recognizeable...even to their mothers. I believe that is the news footage we will NEVER see NEVER will.

You're right. We won't see any of that in the news coverage. The government wouldnt' want us to get a "real" picture of what's really going on. I will say that there is more out there for the troops coming home from the Gulf War than there was for the troops that came home from the Veitnam war. But I agree...there is still more that could be done.
