statues of liverpool
I am a statue cold and stiff
I stand on the beach of crosby watching waiting
ships pass by me like snails gliding on top of the seas passing me bye
my body of plated armour glints in the cold motionless day
People pass bye me somwe say hello
i stand tall and silent like my many brothers
we stand still watching waiting thats all we can do
tetherd like slaves to where we stand
watching waiting to be coverd up a again
The wind howls the rains fall
The rushing sound of the waves ready to cover us all
The waters rush in and we are copverd again
like dancing white horses the waves lash at are feet
Under the sea of crosby we lay lying waiting for the new day
Fishes swim pass us saying hello lying waiting for the new spring day
we wait ,we wait thats all we can do
The waters subside ,it a brand new day coverd in seaweed and sand we stand
Ii am my brothers and i glinting in the sand
people prod us as they go bye
dogs aproach bark and piss as they go bye just to say allow
so people from far and wide dont be shy
come visit us at crosby beach liverpool
see what we see dont be shy
