When You Least Expect It
People are always telling me it'll happen when I least expect it.
Since all I know are crazy people, I sometimes wonder what they mean by 'it'. But since I figure they're looking out for my best interests, they've probably been encouraging me for the past three years to not fret that I'll never find someone. So, that's the advice they give.
Problem is, when someone says that, I go out and the first thing that occurs to me is, " This could be the day that something happens when I least expect it to. " Then, I realize the flaw in that line of reasoning.
Trying online matching is a new thing for me. It's as exhilarating an idea as it is strange. Since I don't get out much and don't like bars, I figure it beats sitting around feeling lonely and getting sucked into late night television.
So, here it is: my Thursday night. It's the last day of my workweek, which means I get to stay up and play around on the internet. I could actually be working on the comic strip. But there's always time for that, I guess. And trying this out feels a little more important right now. You never know; I could meet my muse.
Art is always easier for me when I get to share it with someone.
I just finished the last of my jujubes. It took me three minutes. I have all of my teeth, but should they ever fall out, I'm going to replace each and every one of them with jujubes.
I have no idea what I'll do about the hair. No, wait....red lace licorice.
