This REALLY happened this Thursday night.
When I go shopping I often bust a little on the cash register people.I mean it's GOT to be a boring job, right ?
So, I try to liven it up a little for them and have some fun.
On Thursday night I went to Home Depot here in Florida to get something.
After travelling what seemed like 50 yards in the store I finally found
what I wanted and trekked back another 50 yards and took it up to the register.
It was a 20 pound bag and I carried it up on my shoulder, front face down.
I walked up to the register with a very perplexed look on my face.
The register girl asked, "is everything alright ?"
I said, "No, not really. Maybe you can help".
She said, "I'll try. What is it ?"
I retorted,
"I just don't know what to do. It's my sister,
(as I plop down a 20 pound bag of bird seed on the counter)
she eats like a bird".
I got a punch in the shoulder for that one.
As I walk out the store with the bag or bird seed back up on my shoulder
and the receipt in my hand, the automatic doors open
and I turn back towards the cash registers and yell,
"I'm stealing this bag and there's NOTHING you can do about it !" and stick my tongue out "
The girl who punched my shoulder rolls her eyes,
while several of the other cash register people's mouth dropped open.
