HOW TO STAY YOUNG?
We all need to read this one over and over
until it becomes part of who we are:
HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Try everything twice ...
Once seen on a tombstone epitaph: "Tried everything twice... loved it both times!"
2. Spend time with cheerful friends ...
The grouches and complainers will pull you down.
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down (keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches).
3. Keep learning ...
Learn more about crafts, computers, gardening, whatever.
4. Enjoy the simple things ...
When the children are young, that is all that you can afford.
When they are in college, that is all that you can afford.
When you are on retirement, that is all that you can afford!
5. Laugh often, long and loud — laugh until you gasp for breath ...
If you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots of time with him or her.
6. The tears happen — endure, grieve, and move on ...
The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves.
Lost time can never be found. LIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love ...
Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever — your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health ...
If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips ...
Take a trip to the mall, to the next state, or even to another country, but NOT to Guilt City.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them ... at every opportunity.
11. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second time.
12. Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER ...
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away.
And do share this with someone.
