John 3:16 For God so Loved the world he gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Oswald Chambers: Beware of talking about surrender if you know nothing about it. Im fact, you will know anything about it until you understand that John 3:16 means that God completely and absolutely gave himself to us.
In our surrender, we must give ourselves to God in the same way He gave Himself to us-totally, unconditionally, and without reservation. The consequences and circumstances resulting from our surrender will never even enter our mind, because our life will be totally consumed with Him.
I don't think my human mind can understand what it costs the Lord at the Cross. Should I take such a gift lightly??? Or should I give because I was given let's think eternal life??
The Lord gave Himself for us the least we can do is (((live))) salvation by receiving Him daily.
Yeah I lived in that mind set ungrateful arrogant and well in my opinion a jerk. Saying He died it's done there is nothing left and such do good deeds leave it there, never living a life in the power of God, basically walking in vain all talk to seem good. Sorry in all respect like it or not apart from Him and abiding in Him that is you. And that is separation from God.
John 3:16 should not be a defense for an unrepentant believer, it should be life giving words to you and the one's you preach it to. Anything else is well what do you call it well taking that beautiful name in vain. Instead making a million excuses to for yourself and ways simple lay it at His feet. If you are at a time in life where you are confused about faith or hope in Christ pray this prayer.
Lord Jesus, I need you in my life Lord I need the reality of you in Spirit, I need to see my sin for what it is Lord and know in my heart that it's wrong and to have every reason to turn from it and to your Love for the ability to. Lord fill be with your Love ([(Spirit))) today Jesus set me free in your Love in Jesus name I pray amen.
Freedom in Christ: when one is consumed in His Love. Those who understand a need for Him in Spirit, for a renewed heart mind to be alive and free in Christ.
