Poem-Christmas Promise-By Moonmuffin
Words escape me to express how I feel.
It is not until I hear your voice,
that I know you are real.
My heart is overwhelmed,
by the love that we share.
The thought of not touching you,
brings me more and more despair.
If I had one wish at Christmas this year,
It would be to have you with me,
spreading good cheer.
I send you this poem,
that I wrote on a whim.
It is the thoughts of loving you,
that make today not so grim.
Today we are miles away,
and that can not be helped.
But it is our love across the miles,
that is so strong it can be felt.
I make a promise to you,
on this Christmas Day.
No matter where you are sweetheart,
my love for you will stay.
