Happy Holidays to Weirdos One and All! :)

I watched that goofy "Sydney White" movie tonight.

Not a great movie, by any stretch, but it has inspired me to give a little shout out. So here it is...

I want to give a Big Hug and a Shout Out to anyone out there who is feeling like a bit of an "outcast" this holiday season...hug

This includes all dorks, weirdos, nerds, geeks (especially those who feel left out of the recent "being geek is cool" revival), oddballs, odd ducks, any people frequently referred to as "strange" or "quirky", losers, loners, whackjobs, and neo-maxi zoon dweebies.

As usual, the only real requirement for being included in this particular shout out is that you have a good heart.

So, BIG GROUP HUG, fellow weirdos!! danceline
And have a Grrrrrrrreat Holiday! smile

Many of my Christmases have been spent with outcasts: the people who are single, miles away from family, working half or most of the holiday, you get the idea. At my house, Christmas dinner is a 1 p.m., and leftovers and dessert are self-serve and last all day. All my "odd" friends and so-called "normal" friends just agree to share a little bit of the holiday (and lots of good food)with each other. This system has worked for years. One year I have 39 guests ranging in age from two months to 79 years young. It's what you make it.

That's fantastic.

Sounds like exactly the way it should be at Christmas.

Yay! grin
