Then Comes The Dawn ,From Blanket of Snow `63-`87

I remember the rainbows & the beautiful sunset after glow-There was laughter to share & some rest on a cool pillow,at day`s end. Circumstances had caused my heart to melt into a maze of oblivion. Staring through the window at the barron night, there appeared a reflection of a face. There was no comprehending any thoughts of what might have been-& nothing could be in proper perspective, when someone`s life is lost. One could engage in necessary compliance, but not attain realistic goals...Or even envy a mother`s new nest of birds in the spring.-& then, the colors of the rainbow seem to fade into nowhere. Suddenly, there are dewdrops on a barrage of greenery when summer comes,Along with it`s crowded beaches,& sidewalks, overflowing with bargain hunters....But,that too, will pass-like a flower that had it`s day of beauty. As I reminisce,my boundries seem like endless measures with invisable walls. The sun seems to dim,as winter approaches with it`s Blanket of Snow...One knows,at some point, there will be a union of the faintest of hearts & a vision of hope. Soon...the dawn will come again, another day will follow,& the sun will set. Tomorrow, the sun will continue to shine-but not as brightly as before...& then,again-there will be other rainbows, leaving an illusion of that familiar smile. -It was my son.

I love your expressions of metaphore. Though intense, a softness cushions the readers spirit, but seems there is no soft landing for mother. Only an ongoing struggle of love and loss. Heartbreaking.

To the ones that have lost someone through death. One never forgets, but you can see a light that shines dimly,& if you look closer,it will turn into a ray of sunshine.Keep remembering, & remind yourself, that`s what always happens, after a storm.
