what lovers say
I fell in love. She did too. I was thinking about the things that my girl and I say to each other. I remarked to her that I felt if others were to hear the words that we routinely shower upon one another, they would just puke. Or be bored to death. Or mightily offended. Most likely, a combination of the aforesaid. In that close, most personal setting, the value and understanding of our words will never compute in any other's mind. The words we share, are only wonderful. We stroke every inch of our bodies and minds with each syllable uttered. Somehow, we are able to incorporate erotic visions, sensations, and satisfaction, with discussion of even the most mundane subject. Do you know why? Because, we love one another. Our values are set even higher than ever before, but not of our own doing. We are now filled with such joy that our words flow, mightily, and make perfect sense, to us. Sometimes, at work, I find myself having to tone down my enthusiasm when speaking to a fellow staff member or student. I celebrate this. It has dawned on me that I am free now. Every word said, to anyone, is special now. And it is so simple. When you carry love in your heart for someone and they carry love in their heart for you, and you both realize, acknowledge, and further this amazing feeling, you have the strength and fortitude for any and all that the world may throw at you. We laugh heartily. Our love allows us all the room that we may need to say the most silly things. We use that room, often. And always will.
