No more excitment
When I firstly found this web site, I'm very excited with hope and dream to find my better half here. After few months' practice, I realized that it's so difficult (especially in my same location) to find someone real and truth that I can date in my area.
When I firstly registered, I mostly visit the web site every night and eagerly to check mail box every morning. But now I even nearly forget I've been registered here, seldom log in...without hope and excitment anymore. The only reason I log in still is to read blogs and sometimes like to write a blog to share feelings... Is there anyother way to meet my love other than via internet sites?? Or may be I've to accept the truth to walk my life myself...

My Dear kubera. accept this site for what it is, basically a place where, for the most part, complete strangers, read other peoples thoughts and opinions, write their own, and try to make "DREAMS" come true. My advice to you is to try to enjoy your time spent here, and share a little with the world.

I agree that it is a bit fickle doing the online dating thing as it seems appearance is the number one criteria followed by what one does for a living. Yes, they are important to varying degrees and that's why those who possess those two traits seems to be the ones getting most of the activity on these sites. It seems who you are is way back on the list. Also it's easy to be fake behind a computer and many probably are and they mess people around. They are your classic head-gamers. If you just up and leave someone hanging without giving a reason, as I have seen, it demonstrates how weak many people are in terms of communicating or maybe they don't know better which then demonstrates ignorance. I have had to say this or that as reasons for why I didn't feel a connection and at least I let them know as it's just common decency yet their reactions to my honest communication made it appear as if they believed I was the villain! Maybe that's why some just disappear as perhaps they can't face the truth or more likely they feel there is someone better but don't wish to let the other party know. Hint: Communication is the root of successful relationships and demonstrates integrity in your character. Those that can't give it or take it (communication) are probably lacking in the integrity department. I guess I should just look at myself as I'm probably no where near perfect either but I am good at... My two cents anyway for what it's worth.

Reading your blog reminded me of an all-too-familiar situation. But I think perhaps it is best not to pin down too much hope on this website, and instead look in places close to where you are, where you can meet "real" people in the flesh, those who share your interests and enjoy participating in the same activities as you: clubs, dance classes, etc. Then you can have fun as well as meeting potential partners.
I hope you find your Mr Right. I'm still looking...
