It's not up to someone else to provide us with happiness we have to do that for ourselves.

Happiness is an emotion that comes about due to our circumstance.
Some years ago I listened to a very interesting debate between some married ladies. the question they debated was "Is love an emotion or something you do by choice?"
Happiness comes and goes and it is up to you whether you love or not.
