I only take homeopathic remedies.
I've known several friends with gout problems and you're right. Besides taking homeopathy remedies, dieting or abstaining from certain type of food help tremendously too

The Top Steps to Prevent and Treat Gout
If left untreated, gout can become increasingly painful and lead to joint damage. So if you experience sudden, intense pain in your joints, especially your big toe, it’s important to seek help. Here is a recap of the essential steps to addressing gout:
Find out your nutritional type. This will tell you what foods your body needs to thrive, including whether you should be eating more fats and protein, or less.
Avoid drinking soda, fruit juice, and other sweet beverages. Instead, drink plenty of pure water, as the fluids will help to remove uric acid from your body. Cutting back on all forms of sugar and grain in your diet is also important.
Limit the alcohol you drink (or eliminate it altogether). Alcohol may raise the levels of uric acid in your blood.
Exercise. Being overweight increases your risk of gout, and regular exercise will help you to maintain a healthy weight and improve your overall health.
Try tart cherries or concentrated tart cherry juice. Tart cherries contain two powerful compounds, anthocyanins and bioflavonoids. Both of these compounds slow down the enzymes Cyclo-oxyygenase-1 and -2, which helps to relieve and prevent arthritis and gout in your body.
Interestingly, we have had many readers state that alfalfa tablets have provided a fair measure of relief and improvement from gout as well. I have no experience with this, but it would certainly seem another avenue to explore since it is a natural product with virtually no downside or side effects. Nutmeg has also shown promise for relieving gout symptoms, so if you enjoy this spice feel free to add it liberally to your diet. So, please remember that you don’t need to take a dangerous drug to deal with this painful condition. You CAN address the underlying cause of gout and excess uric acid formation via all-natural means.
I hope this helps your friend!
thank you for your blowsing....
BTW, Montana is a state. :)
you come when I will go to sleep dear...
We have a different timezone......
To me, this is one of the awesome things about CS members!
Gout is a form of ARTHRITIS but unlike Rheumatoid Arthritis, it isnot an immune disorder, and basically it can come from Surgery, Obesity,OVerweight and as has been said a bad Diet. However some people have a genetic predisposition where the body cannot properly deal with Uric Acid disposal. Kidney disease and Diabetes are amongst some of the things that cause it as well.
THe first thing Doctors will do is to treat the horrific pain of Gout, it is extremely painful and you can hardly walk with it... it affects alot of people in different ways, wrists, knees, other parts of the the feet and ankles as well as knees and can cause havoc with joints [same as osteo arthritis ] wear and tear and the inflammatory Rheumatoid Arthritis.
In very rare cases yes Surgery is needed but nowadays, thankfully meds are good and Nutritional advise is up to date.
I take issue with the fact that Doctors are just trying to make money.... so are Homeopathic and alternative practictioners... often with far less success. I am talking about serious ailments and a friend of mine who is a homeopathic Doctor, was quick enough to go to her Occidental Doctor when she got a severe Chest infection and ended up in hospital. Otherwise she would have died.
I think this them and us has to stop. My father whom I dont know and who is now 94, has severe Gout and its throughout his legs and toes and feet. He is in agony so theyve given him pain relief plus treatment and Correct diet for the high levels of Uric Acid.
I really hope your friends Gout clears up soon and its only in very very rare cases that Surgery takes place.
100% black cherry juice will cure gout. Drink about a 4-6 ounce glass per day and gout be gone. Fact.
It would be interesting to know , since Gout is part of the Arthritis family, if it would work for Arthritis [which I have ] It would be hard to get cherry juice, do you mean fresh cherries you would buy yourself? I think nowadays its hard to get good juice as its concentrated or there is wheat and other things added. But I will try and get some !! thanks.
BTW, I tried site mailing you about thyroids (and a solution) but I'm blocked.
