My glimpse of heaven

It was never my intention to stir some personal beliefs on our faith. My faith. But having just shed so much tears after watching the movie "HEAVEN FOR REAL", I can't help but be as personal as I can and answer any crucible questions anyone wants to present.

I've always been an advocate of religious freedom and preferences. I always believed that all we do when it comes to our God or no God is a personal choice. Therefore I make it clear head on, that this is not an invitation for any explanation. Rather it is a sharing of my faith to those who want to join me on this journey of my life.

Although born and raised as Roman Catholic, I am not adhering to the infallibility of such a tradition. But I believe in God, and my Lord Jesus Christ. In spite of all the flaws and imperfections I feel and think about such faith, it is by far the best that suits my commitment to serve humanity. Full of love, kindness and compassion. It never ever asks me to harm let alone kill if anyone doesn't believe in what I believe in.

My personal experience suffices my inability to understand all of life's mysterious ways including surviving two cancers.

This blog is presented for whatever purpose it may serve, and I thank you always for reading and participating.

Humbly and sincerely,

Phyllis

Note: for those who don't believe in heaven, my respect.

Lindsyjones... Good blog. I too believe in a real heaven. Religion is a personal choice. Thanks for shaing this blog.
The first good move you did was move away from Roman Catholicism. Many people and writers refer to Catholic as a synonym for Roman Catholicism. They are not the same. So that's where you may think the Catholic faith is flawed whereas Roman Catholicism is very flawed.

But you are on the right track because being Catholic encompasses "Full of love, kindness and compassion".

My survival of cancer was and can only be a miracle of God!
And "YES"!! There certainly is a heaven!
Benny thanks and I believe even my time spent here is in itself a slice of my heaven.
Thanks Ed, and knowing you too, is to me a part of my journey in my search for all good life has blessed me.
My cure for such a terminal illness, is indeed a miracle that I can only account of my God.

Thanks Ed.
And I might add, my waking up every morning to witness the birth of a new morn, see the leaves flutter into the wind, and being able to say I love you, is to me a taste of heaven.
My children, my love, is heaven. Thanks to all.
I believe heaven and hell is here on earth , it is how you make it yourself, . If i am wrong i will wait and see. I like the idea of god, but religion leaves me puzzled. Faith is within us. We either have it or not. I fully accept that when i die it is all over , the end. I can understand how religion might have been developed to help control the masses.
I dont need the promise of heaven To make me be good person , because i believe in humanitarianism.
I truly admire your conviction my friend and it is most practical. It serves the very core of what makes you who you are. The veracity of all that exists beyond life is a matter of personal choice as nothing by science and by the capability of our minds to provide proof. A most puzzling containment of an idea sans reasons. Or it'd be the norm. Which is not.
Nevertheless your service or desired effort to serve mankind is product of a very noble cause. I can't be happier.
Yes to me heaven and or hell is both a matter of perceptions which I recognize amongst man. There's nothing more heinous than shoveling our belief in anyone.

For me however, goes beyond that which I can't see. I'm reasoning from the point of view of Dr. DE Grazie, quantum physicists as well as Dr. Dawkins, biologist that if them can't explain to me how the beginning of this universe is, and where it ends, as well as we're tiny speck of this galaxies with millions more out there, then the burden of my proof is much easier to believe than not.

Thanks my friend.
@nicefeet
Those would be my sentiments too! handshake
Thanks rain it's not important how we believe more than it matters how we serve our fellow human beings.

Thanks.

I also believe in religious freedom and preferences...be who you want to be and believe in what you want...institutional religions are far from perfect...one can believe without institutions...although I am not religious,I am spiritual...I cannot always use science to debunk mysteries...your gift of a second chance defies logical explanation...glad your still here lind!!wine
My friend if is the importance of serving ourselves and others that count.

I'm sure when our belief harm others, then we step to get it corrected.

Thanks my friend.
