@ Bspoken4 - wave .. I wouldn't go to a pharmacy for anything stronger than a band-aid..... they are just legal drug dealers.... very mad

If you take antibiotics it will take your body about 2 years before it leeches out of your body and your natural immune system recovers, meanwhile if you get a cold or hurt yourself again during this period you will need more antibiotics to survive as your natural system can't help you.... and so it goes on.... blues

Try using positive thoughts, your brain is a very powerfull tool thats able to heal you, if you are already under the influence of pharmacy drugs, try using a natural remedy.... grin

.... grin cheers
Hans...beer I hardly get sick and don't visit Pharmacies in a hurry...
And am not under the influence of pharmacy drugs or any drugs for that matter. As I stated in the blog opening line - am more researching pharmacy/pharmacists and their operations in other countries...in comparison to ours in SA...handshake cheers

Hi. I totallt agree with Hansthumbs up
Thanks Minerva88 for your comment....wine
For the most part, pharmacies in America don't dispense meds without a prescription and many require the doctor prescribing the med be on their authorized to give them a prescription list. This means if you walk in with a prescription from a doctor they don't know, it won't be filled. Prevents honoring fake prescriptions.

Alternatively, most pharmacies here do happily sell placebo drugs. NyQuil, aspirin, Tylenol, cough syrup, etc.
GG...many thanks..for your input...thumbs up wine

Ken...cheers you too Dude..
Pharmacists must be able to dispese high schedule meds witout seeing ay dr first.
Thank you Snookums....nice to see a fellow South African on the blogs..wine handshake
Pharmacists are not licensed to diagnose or prescribe medication. A pharmacist cannot help you if you are not feeling well. I don't know why people think they can. They cannot. You have to see the doctor if you are sick. All a pharmacist can do is recommend over-the-counter stuff which is usually a low dose version of some of the mild prescription medication for minor complaints. Pharmacists cannot dispense antibiotics without a script from the doctor, unless you live in a banana republic where meds are not tightly regulated.
Well i suffer badly from colds..its been à week now with out meds and Ive been incapacitated for a week...servere headache and coughing up disgusting grunge...next time im going to get antibiotics sooner.
Alot of people in Doctors waiting rooms just need over the counter meds. Thats what I was trying to say in my blog. The pharmacy can in emergency [under ec law] dispense inhalers and other injections if the patient is in a critical way, until proper medical help comes. However, pharmacists do have a better knowledge of the ingredients and contra indications of mixing medicines together than most Doctors. There are many people on Statins for instance that cannot take certain Antibiotics when they get a serious infection , say, a chest infection. Some people died here a few years ago because the Doctors wrote a script /prescription for antibiotics that contraindicated with the Statins.
I would always go to a pharmacist with a rash rather than go to the doctor, my pharmacist diagnosed my Shingles, so i went to the Doctor, they are very highly educated, and its a tough study here in Ireland anyway. Take care everyone !!Manuka honey 550mg is just as effective as a medium to high dose antibiotic. I have proven it and used it for an MRSA infection after an operation .
