Besides the visa, you will need a passport as well if you don't already have one.

Before i was very ofte in taiwan.
So for taiwan I went to the travel agency and they ask for a visa.
The PH is different, I have to go to the PH embassy in The hague everytime I wanne stay longer then 30 days.
So every country in Asia has his own rules about that.
Schengen is for Europe.
