First of all, you get Medicare @ 65 not 66. If you get Social Security @ 65, you will have an extra $10,800 versus taking SS @ 62. If you plan on working part time or so. You might want to take the SS @ 62. This way you can start enjoying your retirement earlier. Secondly, what if you died in the 3rd year. You wouldn't have enjoyed any of the money!
Think it through my friend!
He wants to give up his medical aid which is a lot then he should me able to afford retirement on his life insurance. Provident fund.
I wish you the best!
I had about the same options when I took early retirement at the beginning of last year. I have not been sorry. I miss my old job but enjoy the free time more.
Hey, if you don't have too much debt to care about it
go for it, retired at 62, and medicare is at 65, don't be scared
if not be to...go ahead and planned for that deserve retirement
at 62.
my mother worked untill 65 to retair ,and had 2 monthe joy from it wen she get sick and psst away.
you ónly live ones so enjoy your pension
You are undecided on what to do. And going by all the good comments address to you. I think that! You should take some time out to think about this some more. And remember the good comments made to you about this. Then decide what will make you comtable. And also! If you can afford to retire in 2 years. Or pick up a side job. I think that you mention that! You likes your job. What about getting a side job, doing what you do now. Or something else that you would like to do. Or maybe! A work from home job. As long as it is a real one. Some of those stay at home jobs is real. But! Its better to know someone personal, that does it. I have a friend that been working from home, for a year/ half now. Its not sailing anything. She take calls from the companies client's. ( Inbound Calls). And she works by set hours. The more calls she takes, the more her pay. So! She try to do it by 8 to 10 hours a day. And lesser hours on weekends.
Good luck to you! On your decision.
and the amount of odd jobs i was offered was unbelievable as people will always need some thing done, and when they see you are not working any more they will always ask if you are interested !!! just my thoughts but i have never looked back and now enjoy life to the full,,,and eve through i do not want to work any more only last week i was asked if i wanted to do some odd jobs,i did the one as i had the spare time and was really surprised when i recieved the money for what i had done was a nice little bonus i can tell you even through i did not need it,,,so my friend in truth the decision is really yours, but for me it is take what you have now as you do not know what is around the next corner do you !!!
This can backfire badly if you make a wrong decision and even if it costs some money, get qualified advice.
Best of luck.
The Obamacare is a bubble that will soon probably be popped by this new Congress. It seems a lot of the stuff they didn't bother to read before voting to approve it has costs they didn't take into account.
