Adalah pisau pedangnya dibuat oleh Korehira Watanabe?

Is the maker of her sword's blade Korehira Watanabe?
Ken
First, it's a HE.
Second, Kenshin's reversed sword was made by a sword master named Shakku.
Quick movie guide there. Well yeah, Arai Shakku. Got that. But who made the one for the movie (and 'he' looks feminine as heck from here, what about the one in white, is that a boy too?).
The one in white is a SHE, named Kamiya Kaoru. She becomes Kenshin's lover. cool
Aahh.. so that's the one who made the sword for the movie. Well, I am only interested in the story, not the ones who played roles in or for the movie grin
LoL, well we don't know really. He could be the correct sword maker. I just figure like when they had Stallone play Rambo, they had a real knife maker make his knife, so maybe for that movie, they had a true Koto or Katana maker design the one for the movie.
I remember a friend of mine once mentioned about Rambo.. "God would have mercy. Rambo won't!" laugh
Oh Ken, I am sure there are still many Japaneses who are masters of sword making in these days. wave
Oh yes, about 600 or so.
In fact Korehira Watanabe is one of them. Specializes in swords of the first Koto Tachi pattern of about year 1100ad.
I like Gandalf Ken.
There is a lovely stroy about Beren and Luteren from the book The Silmarillion, J.R.R. Tolkien.
I haven't read it James
Lacrim,in the Silmarillion tells the story of how Middle Earth came into being.Long before the The lord of the ring.

The book can be fond on the Net.
must be great to be filmed. what are they beren and luteren? are they Maiar? or elves?
The mother luterne was of the Mariar one of the first elves in middle earth and Beren is the son of one of the first men in middle earth

Beren and Luterne were the first union between men and elves.
One of there off-spring is Aragorn.
thanks James.. I will look at it.

hwave

you make great movie.. I'll be the actress as Gandalf's daughter.
Hi Lacrimosa. Welcome.

I too like the Gandalf character, especially as portrayed by Ian McKellen. I understand he will not be doing more Gandalf roles so I wonder who will fill those white and grey robes in the future?

2317 Yes, Jimmy Lile. For whatever reason a year or so before the movie began someone decided instead of a prop knife, the knife Stallone used in the Rambo movies had to be a real knife capable of doing all those things without failing and the Knifemaker's Guild was approached and Mr. Lile was selected and he designed and built the Rambo 'First Blood' knife. 13 were made for the movie and they are highly sought after by collectors. 6 were used in the movie, Mr Lile kept the others. To some people the knife was more important to the movie than was Stallone/Rambo.

When the movie came out in 85 Lile was deluged with orders for an identical knife. He also designed and made the knives for the followup movie FB 2. He made another 60 or so similar to the FB original knive, but as the orders continued he instead licensed out the design to a cutlery maker. FB knives in the movie had 14 saw teeth. FB models made by Lile after the movie had 12 teeth. There are other differences too. The number of teeth in the licensed and unlicensed knock off clone copies (along with everything else of course) varies depending on who made it and when.

Mr. Lile died in 1991. After his death the Lile name was sold. Many after market replicas and fakes of varying quality exist. Some even fake Mr. Lile's maker stamps, so Caveat Emptor. Even some of the better authorized Replicas of the FB knife can go for thousands of dollars. True Jimmy Lile 'First Blood' knives are ridiculously expensive.

In June of 2013 one of the six actually used in the FB movie sold at auction for $90,000 US.
Ian Mckellen is a good actor. from many movies he played. character of Gandalf is my fav than Magneto.
he also very good in one of famous theatrical Waiting for Godot.
maybe you should be the future Gandalf?
Ken it would seem like there is a lady here who knows about the writer Samuel Beckett ..Nice
