you make great movie.. I'll be the actress as Gandalf's daughter.
I too like the Gandalf character, especially as portrayed by Ian McKellen. I understand he will not be doing more Gandalf roles so I wonder who will fill those white and grey robes in the future?
2317 Yes, Jimmy Lile. For whatever reason a year or so before the movie began someone decided instead of a prop knife, the knife Stallone used in the Rambo movies had to be a real knife capable of doing all those things without failing and the Knifemaker's Guild was approached and Mr. Lile was selected and he designed and built the Rambo 'First Blood' knife. 13 were made for the movie and they are highly sought after by collectors. 6 were used in the movie, Mr Lile kept the others. To some people the knife was more important to the movie than was Stallone/Rambo.
When the movie came out in 85 Lile was deluged with orders for an identical knife. He also designed and made the knives for the followup movie FB 2. He made another 60 or so similar to the FB original knive, but as the orders continued he instead licensed out the design to a cutlery maker. FB knives in the movie had 14 saw teeth. FB models made by Lile after the movie had 12 teeth. There are other differences too. The number of teeth in the licensed and unlicensed knock off clone copies (along with everything else of course) varies depending on who made it and when.
Mr. Lile died in 1991. After his death the Lile name was sold. Many after market replicas and fakes of varying quality exist. Some even fake Mr. Lile's maker stamps, so Caveat Emptor. Even some of the better authorized Replicas of the FB knife can go for thousands of dollars. True Jimmy Lile 'First Blood' knives are ridiculously expensive.
In June of 2013 one of the six actually used in the FB movie sold at auction for $90,000 US.
