Polocrosse!

This is the best game ever played on horseback, and the chances anyone out there in blogland knows it at all are close to non-existent - but this is a US video, who knows. Maybe. It's big in South Africa, Australia, NZ. Back in the day I played for about 10 years, and my knees still give me gyp from those high-speed collisions, but what a rush.

Crank the sound up, it's a good soundtrack. Blow your mind a little bit.

Prince Charles no longer plays polo, but both his sons do - however polo is very much a rich man's sport, you need at LEAST four horses. Polocrosse is played on a smaller field, and is nicknamed poor-man's-polo, or one-horse polo. It is far more skilled roll eyes ask any polocrosse player ...

Main difference is throwing, rather than hitting, and the ball is soft, not hard. Far fewer casualties, as a result, and played by youngsters right up to, well, oldest guy in my time was 70, and kept forgetting which end his goals were in each chukka, he'd go charging up the field with the ball with his 10-year-nephew galloping in hot pursuit shouting 'Oom, oom, the other way!!'
