Getting it off your chest

There was a time that when upset by a friend, girl/boyfriend, partner etc,
we found solace in venting our troubles to our friends or family as a way of “getting it off our chest” so that we would feel better having at least told our woes to someone. For whatever reason, be it self preservation, lack of courage or whatever, we would never tell the person concerned what is disturbing us about them.

Of course we secretly hoped that what we had said to our friends or family would get back to the person in question and thus they will be made aware of what was bothering us.

These days, with the introduction of Facebook, Twitter and blogs like this one on CS, we can post what is annoying us about a person in a public forum. Not only do we get to unload our anguish and get replies, but the chances are the person to whom we are griping about will also read the post.

If you read the blog properly,

I am not talking about me,

I am pointing out how the internet has changed the way people communicate problems/aggravations.
doh
that should of been, i'm giving it a better SHOT hole
IW...

Been the messenger on several occasions, still have the bullet holes to prove it.
Solly I know what you mean, everyone knows that I never best round the bush.... 'but then most people don't like to hear the truth ...
.so what do you do? Do you have the courage to tell the person what you think of them?
I mean beat around the bush....
Nya...

Of course not, facing a problem head on usually leads to conflict which in turn leads to disaster.
nya...

Beating around the bush is not a solution, just ends up with the person being confused as to what you are trying to say.
Then its a good thing for you Sola you do bit of plastic surgery..i'm sure you can do a pretty good job on yourself, as in filling in the holes conversing
poor me on the other hand has to fill mine with cotton wool, now i wouldn't mind being wrapped up init but being stuffed with it, isn't quiet the same thing sad

That's the best thing about CS, I think, that people can offload things they can't say anywhere else. Interactive blogging is great, and when it is romantic issues, where else CAN you say them? No-one else wants to know!

Okay you say yours aren't personal, but most blogs I read are very personal. Sometimes we can't see past our own noses. Why did he react like that? Why did she go off pop when I said this? the answers won't always be what we want to hear, uh oh but they can be an interesting alternative point of view rolling on the floor laughing
wow elegs
thats Viv in a Dolly Parton wig !hug
When my dad was dying my sister and other family members put up some shocking comments on facebook.

They hadn't visited him for over 30yrs and they were angry that he was refusing to see them now he was dying.

A case of what goes around comes around.

I'm no longer on facebook not that I ever used it when I was.
