I think meeting someone through friends or a group of like minded people is the best way to start something.
Go out, increase you network of friends and acquaintances, be sociable and this will increase your chances.
In general id say a very positive thing..it's a good way to get to know someone Instead of that awkward first blind date.
I've met nice people here, made friends and been here in and out since 2009.
I have friends that have made it here are happy and even living abroad.
So your chances here is to make the most of it.
Most dating sites like POF are to be paid for if you want curtain features and here there is not charge.This used to be better because it had a chat room and were able to IM someone and make it more private.
