They probably had no other choice, the kid was getting bad and was not responding to his parents. Its dramatic yes, but if it helps the kid find a better path in life, its worth it.

If more bad kids was able to have a experience like that, it may help them change things and go on to lead a better life.

Absolutely scandalous! I would never put a child through that. This is typical of a society that believes that others should educate and discipline their children because they cannot be bothered themselves.

Old saying POC you have to be cruel to be kind and that sharp shock treatment is probably going to stick in his mind for the rest of his life and hopefully keep him on the right path in life thumbs up

Yes Mj but the parents could just as easily be "cruel to be kind". I have seen far too many parents going into schools and berating the teachers because their child is not doing well. These same parents allow their children to stay out late at night, getting into all sorts of trouble. It is a parents duty to discipline and control their children.

Kids are going to experiment and push the boundaries regardless of authority figures you done it ive done it so maybe a little bit of fear is not such a bad thing for unruly kids and teens

This method is meant to be used as a last ditch effort. Sometimes, the parents could be doing everything right but the child just do not respond to them or any authority. If you knew your child was heading down a bad path and you tried everything to change it but never succeeded, something like this could be just whats needed.

Ok. I suppose, in certain circumstances, it might be needed as a last ditch attempt. However, isn't it strange that both kids had to go through this? Wouldn't you think, that the younger one would have learnt from the older boys experience. He surely would have told his sibling about what had happened to him and warned him about getting into trouble. I don't know. It just seems as if both those boys were allowed to run wild.

Sorry didnt realise it is Mastermind we are on but since ive started you can advise some people until you are blue in the face and they just wont listen so if someone is straying of the correct path in life i personally cant see any harm in the sharp shock treatment maybe prevention is better than cure after all thumbs up
