I See Clearly Now

Eyes wide open
I see clearly now
Everything changed
And I couldn't see how

Now I know the truth,
You weren't ready for me
And while it hurt at first
A new future I now see

You're not the one,
Someone else will come along
And in our hearts
We'll sing the same song

Happiness and joy we'll have
For all the rest of our days
Eventually I'll find someone
To love and be loved by always.

Although I am not a poet, what you wrote speaks for so many of us here.

I have been taught that there is someone for everyone and it takes time and patience on our part to finally reach that point.
