Our very own soap!

Every day thousands of people watch soap operas on television, they are fascinated by the volatile ins and outs of the relationships and daily lives of the programs characters.

I dont own a TV but thats not to say I am missing out, the latest episode on CS is playing out in real life and has everyone enthralled in the plot. As usual, the main character flits in and out of the scenes wanting to retire to a peaceful life but cant resist coming back to add comments.

Not only can I view the interactive posts on this channel but I also get the chance to see the "behind the scenes" action on the forum channel.

Of course this is not the only soap we have had on CS, apart from the bickering soaps that pervade our computer screens on a regular basis there have been other series' whereby the character once at deaths door is now a picture of health even posting pics of facials (still looks a bit pasty though grin )

Dont you just love soaps?.......... I do!dancing

Candy...

I knew if you posted, I could count on some spicy critical comments against me. Someone of your ilk hasn't been on CS for quite a while, have to say its kind of refreshing to read the type of dribble you write.cool
For me the only problem with soaps is when a new character is introduced with an interesting story line, some of the old characters seem to forget their new lines & just revert back to old ones they've used time after time in previous episodes grin
How right you are Sola, perhaps the reason why so many of us stay TUNED in conversing

Since you have not answered the question..

"Was that the character that was renowned for what she put behind her ears that made her so attractive to men?"

I will tell you what it was she put behind her ears.... Her ankles!rolling on the floor laughing
N-Nurse G-Gladys-Emmanuel? I read somewhere she wore padding for the part, also on top, so when
'Granville' (David Jason), used to rest his head on her 'chest' in the series, it was really 2 pillows haha!
Still fun to see though!

"Granville C-Come outt of there!!"laugh
My take in this soap, there are people who behave young and restless and there are people who are bald but beautiful.laugh grin

It seems to be different characters but always the same story. I just don't trust men anymore! uh oh

The only thing we know about men is, they will leave you for a younger woman. All the rest is a mystery!
wave Caly The Sagittarius being the fire sign is true to her colours.
We are the best and kindest persons you would want to be around.but when someone pees on their battery all sparks fly. I Am not fooling anyone by saying I have the most generous heart and soul. I will give my clothes off my back to anyone in need, and this is well known in my circles, which is very large, but when someone attacks my person or family I am a demon possessed with fire and brimstone. AND I DON'T EXPECT ANYONE TO BELIEVE ME, as I know who I am ,what I want and where I come from. hug lips
Cal, sometimes the unknown works too, just not as regularly dancing

Candy, if a man is in need, will you take the clothes off your front too?
wave Lucky I am lucky I don't have that problem. You see older woman are keepers not mind reapers. We have been there ,done that and don't play games. If the MEN doh want to run to younger woman ,so be it at their own peril, and the reason for that is the younger they are the more maintenance they need.My own son had two such ladies in the past that and made him think twice about it. We at least are settled, used to the good things and bad in life and don't whine like little puppies needing everything our eyes see.And most important no babies that will tie the old man down while the youngster still wants to club and pub peace bouquet
maybe not Candy..
but to me your a dead ringer of Maria Friedman (the older woman)
another trouble maker by all means..tongue

As for Jaws, hope you don't think thats you laugh
lordy woman, but i'v bigger fish for frying than you talk to hand
Hmmmm - think I will stick to cuddling up & watching a good movie hug
No Sol I don't watch soaps.

I don't need to go very far to read one.

grin
"As the stomach churns"
popcorn watches an episode of "Open all hours" and watches as Sol (as Arkwright) serves nurse Gladys-Emanuel and admires her d-d-d-deriaire !laugh
Every soap worth its suds needs the requisite buxom, dyed blond with a mouth like a sewer and a VOICE LIKE A BULLHORN. She can run the local (local pub on the main floor with the local house of ill repute upstairs). But, what to call her? Madam ?
I used to watch the local soapy a long time ago. Just not interested in soaps anymore. The same thing over and over. Realy boring stuff.

I prefer a relaxing happy life, to too much drama !
tongue Good golly miss molly thank the mighty of all might I dont have a foghorn voice like either of those two. Mine is far too sopisticated and softangel angel
