In this day and age, even by a few health professionals, behaviors drenched in denial, even with well known harmful effects around their own kids, led around by their noses by big tabacco business adverts, and lots more. Interested in comments.

Are you really interested in comments? Non-smokers will agree with you. Smokers will roll their eyes and not bother.

How about this. In this day and age ... behaviors drenched in denial ... led around by their noses ...

people believe in their religion, not yours ...
people continue to be atheists, and refuse to see the light ...
people are Republicans despite your arguments ....
people are Democrats, despite your arguments ....
people continue to drink ...
people continue to spend more money than they earn and get into debt ...

are we seeing a pattern yet? People do what people want to do.

I smoked for 0ver 30 years, gave up for 6 and started again, its bad for me, so is red meat, so is pollution and many other things...I enjoy it now, and I am entitled to my opinion.

Everything you do carries an element of risk and that applies also to smoking. Not everyone needs to live to 100 and some people prefer spending however many years they are going to get living life the way they want, not being constrained by constantly evaluating the risk of this and that. I gave up a long time ago.
