Hi Georgie,

In the states it can very by culture! Traditionally, baked ham, sweet potatoes, and some veggies! Some people have prime rib.thumbs up

I've never heard of Jamaican Easter Bun.
It sounds very good...an interesting, simpler and lighter alternative to more traditional fare.
I'd like to try it.

The only tradition I remember is Easter eggs cheering
Haven't yet managed to work out that if the traditional Easter animal is a bunny where the eggs come in to it confused idea must be that bunnies produce so few eggs you can only have them one day a year professor grin
well

Gentlejim here we also dont have meat traditionally but fish its the Lenten season but oh well not everyone can afford fish here as it is now $600 for a pound of fresh fish since its the traditional thing at this time .

miclee here bun is very nice lots of raisins and spice and and is very expensive at this time of year Easter time sells the most buns ever here.

well i wonder myself how the eggs comes into all this but i guess the eggs are used in the mixture of our buns other than that i dont know


and the fishes represent the feeding of the multitude i presume grin

hahaha yes it cost a lot but oh well gotta eat
i do eat meat chicken and goat meat dont bother with pork and beef etc
that's the second person to mention goat meat...never heard of it let alone eaten any.....what's it like? don't say chicken....laugh

I know goatee,laugh but never had the privilege of having a real goat....not to popular around here.....goat cheese is good......and if it's like mutton I would go for it........

its almost the same as mutton but better trust me

the head is use for soup here and the feets grin

and it is very expensive here too
well animals are just as clever as humans its just that we dont understand their language .

lots of stuff are grown here fresh from the farmers market lol

u make whatever u want from them .
