Hundreds of innocent wooden chairs executed

Hundreds of innocent wooden chairs executed in the desert.
Its been reported that the scattered remains of hundreds of chairs have been found in the arid desert near the small town of Harare.

Evidence of ethnic cleansing by lay-z-boys and Laura Ashley Patterned upholstered easy chairs will no doubt create yet another conflict in our violent world.

Lets try to forgot the CS issues for a while and think about those chairs that are less fortunate, If you have a wooden chair please hug it.

that felt real good!
crying how could they do something so terrible. My heart goes out to their surviving family members. crying
My mommy tables r missing the innocent babies
dankie vir jou Suid-Afrikaanse vroue..

It's wonderful to know that these poor chairs are in your thoughts.
Z.....rolling on the floor laughing ....that was good.....
Z, I didnt know that, sitting on my plush leather "captains chair" I assumed that they were innocent.

But in fairness these wooden chairs made us what we are today, from school to our first home without wheels, I do feel a little sympathy for the way they have been killed without mercy, perhaps they could be persuaded to join peace talks and accept thin latex filled cushions as a first step in being accepted by the International community.
M. U know the SA humour
Map, much as I admire your spirit of kindness toward these chairs, rehabilitation has proved useless, before you know it they've slipped their cushions & return to their evil ways.
Even as we speak an army of the dam things is massing ready to strike doh

Ek, I never had you down as a hard supporter, mind you we've never seen a picture of you from the rear, maybe you're equipped like Kim Kardashian to handle such chairs dunno grin

Read Kal's Blog...and you will see....i am incapable of sympathy.....grin ...
Z, you do have good intelligence, perhaps a live link to the drones?

That photo is actually a brigade of North Korean Plastic chairs, they are allies of the HARD organisation, they are trained in all manner of Chairfare, are ruthless killers and will one day rule the furniture world. I for one hope that I am dead and buried before this happens.

I sob and wail at the plight of all chairs, so should we all angel
Z, Kim Kardashian would never have got such a fine derriere if if was not for wooden chairs, she attended their Convent and finishing school.

Cal, I dont believe that, I think you do have a "soft spot" for hard chairs and probably as nice if not better than Ms Kardashians.
I remember as a young girl/woman.....we would constantly ask our mates....."does my bum look big in this"....
we were terrified to have half of what Kim has.....rolling on the floor laughing .....
Cal, if you have any doubts how it looks feel to post pics of it & we'll give an unbiased opinion professor grin
Lol....i would never wear one of those latex dresses....
Funny blog guys....rolling on the floor laughing ....
Of course they still get into the UK, passing immigration hidden in the back of lorries doh still UKIP may get elected in the next general election, I hear they plan to build a wall to keep those dam Europeans, & their HARD chairs, out thumbs up

Snooks, thanks for the support.

Calleis, Your chair is the result of an abusive designer, it is however a very beautiful chair, and I hope it has a happy life in your home.

Z that is a very interesting picture you posted.wave wine wine I am so happy I am not gifted with such an asset.wine dunno
Lindsy. So am I but my little sister got it in abundance
Fear no more Map.

These chairs have formed a cooperative and are working with their environment in the best way they can.

As they were originally trees, natural life and growing are in their DNA.

So after many meetings, the Chair has finally announced that they are becoming an Oasis.

They are not just bringing life back to themselves, they are bringing life back to the dessert, and ultimately helping fight climate change.

Hi Redex, trees are cool, they are the backbone of a chair, keep hugging!

Molly, I knew you would be here with your usual support, It's so heartwarming to see those chairs given a new meaning, may your photos inspire others to rescue and make better use of the chairs.

I opened my loft door and told my chairs they were free, they didn't move but it has been raining, perhaps soon I will see them amongst the olive trees flourishing and not forming a HARD group cell and seeking revenge on me and my sofas.
Map

I have a problem with splinters...lol...laugh caused by neglect of our wooden chairs...where is the humanity?...uh oh

Amnesty international needs to make citizens aware...handshake
Z...it is soft chairs causing a curved bottom like that. I love my hard chairs unconditionally so won't belive the lies spread by sofas and such.
Map, if you love them set them free.

If they love you, they will remain.
This is my old, but very useful, and very special Mr Chair. Makes me smile, every time i see him. Just love to sit on.

Lou, You have splinters and admit the neglect, thats a first step!
Get some sandpaper and rub the affected area (the chair) be sensual and gentle, soon those splinters will be gone.

Ekself,A sturdy chair for a sturdy woman..well done.

Molly, I wept when I read your poetic comment, thank you.

Bloody, Wow I see the shine on that chair, its clear you and the chair love each other.
Yes Snook I'm happy with what I have comfort

Molly those pictures are beautiful. My daughter has one of them in her yard and it's gorgeous. wave wave
There are some heartless people about sigh I though everyone knew chairs are supposed to be in a pack, which in the case of chairs is known as a set, keeping one on it's own for long periods will cause the chair much distress blues and be careful if you mix chairs from different sets, you're likely to end up with a whole load of foot stools professor
Z, Yes they should be sold in pairs, fours and so on, this was seen as old fashioned and people buy singles and paint them in very unchair like colours and mix the types thinking they are being fashionable, but as you stated they will rebel and act a bit like spoiled teenagers or worse join terror groups.

We do have a lot of time on our hands!
Map, when you are finished this very admirable campaign, I would urge you to put the staples on hold, and concentrate on a campaign close to my heart, the FRSS.

The Foundation for Reuniting Separated Socks was set up on the 29 February, 2004 as the plight of separated socks was being ignored, or treated with derision, sometimes even distaste.

I won't go into too much detail here for privacy reasons, but you can check their website
Molly, It's also close to my heart, the FRSS is a great organisation (although some security company will get a lot of CS traffic), I did a thesis on Lost socks, I determined that they turned into coat hangers or got caught and eaten by the sock monster but that's my opinion.
I gave sanctuary to two Edwardian kitchen chairs some years ago and they have rewarded me with long service, hardly complaining under even the chubbiest visitors. I never regretted it and urge others to do the same.

Don't only for younger, prettier chairs - the spindly type with woven seats have a lot to offer. wine
