Best Answer: - They brag because they are insecure and they believe if others believe they have a lot of money and things that other people will be envious of them. This equals worth in their heads, but they are confused. In my opinion to truly be "rich" means to be secure in yourself, to have true friends and love (both for yourself and others). Money and things can come and go, but that should not change who you are inside. It is like if they can convince others they are to be envied they may actually start to believe it themselves...problem is it just doesn't work that way.

- Most of the time people brag about things, like being rich, or all the material items they have because they think it will impress people, but really they just have little or no self-esteem, and that is the only way to make them feel good about themselves.

- Because people do not know who they are and think that their materials or their money is a way of defining who they are.

- they brag because they have low self- esteem, and they are lonely...
money cant buy Everything, especially love.

- ppl brag because they feel insecure. Ever hear Bill Gates bragging?

I'm rich as far as family and friends go.

Once the essentials are covered, money has very little impact on happiness.

I've been on vacations that were far less fun than a bonfire and a sixpack with good company.

As near as I can figure, happiness is about how we see the world.

It's about how much we like and value, or don't, others.

Without a deep and abiding fondness for people,

the world will always feel a bit drab.
There much more to life than counting money, good health I one I would count?
