Hi Bloggers - long time no blog
Im in a bit of a pickle, and wanted to know, is there a scientific term for this.
I think its something like conscious & un conscious awareness.
Eg, your driving, and suddenly become aware, you are much further into your journey, and cant remember passing certain landmarks or villages.
My mate & I always ref to it, as, an alien picked up my car, and placed me further down the road
Im sure there is a proper term for this, but, cant remember what it is.
Can anyone tell me ?

Whiteouts is the term.
Or of course aliens.

Im away for a few months, going home next week, just for a week,
Aliens have a lot to answer to
It happens to me while im driving, im still aware of the road & traffic and stuff, but, I kinda day dream, and then miss a turning
You mean time lapse ?
Not quite back, things are getting sorted, but, wont be home for good until mid Novemeber - I am missing home, stress level are going up & down, but, keeping my eye on the prize, the bigger picture so to speak.
It's also like in a kind of daydream when you're there physically but your mind is somewhere else.
I don't think the aliens have anything to do with it although I know some people have reported such a phenomena while driving.
Could it be hiway hypnosis?...just a thought...a dissasociative state of mind...
Yeah, dissociative mind, yeah, or just zoned out - for the moment, im sticking with whiteouts, I like that term, I don't sound quite so crazy
I guess, when we do the same thing day in day out, we do kinda go autopilot - its like getting to work, then thinking, did I turn off the straightening irons, you cant remember if you did, but, you know you probably did.
Too much on your mind be careful when driving so.
Maybe need sleep and you have quick nap not good.
Im home Tuesday evening, so, hopefully will catch up with you Wednesday or Thursday - hows the walks going ? Hows your bowls ?
That sounds soooo wrong, but, you know what I mean
It's a Blackout when you don't recognize the place or a route.
I am going off for a week so will catch up then
This whole thing involves a court case, I don't want to use the term blackout, it sounds like im not in control, its not me in court, but, blackouts, doesn't sound good - sticking with whiteouts, daydreaming, and time lapse
It's a soul loss where part of your energy/consciousness is lost.
But .The good news it can be recovered.
I'll explain it by mail.
