The World in 2050
It’s the year 2050, a few things have happened:-All wars have ended; all races and religions have ceased hostilities and live in harmony.
Unrest in the USA has led to many former states becoming independent.
The EU ended in 2018, Trade and unemployment are the better than the last 30 years.
Britain has split; Scotland, Wales and Northern Island are now self-ruling countries.
All Fossil fuels have been depleted; solar powered airships carry passengers now.
Cars all run on hydrogen, pollution levels are very low.
Mars has been colonized; Alien support has helped 80 million people who now live in bio-domes. The moon is a penal colony.
North Korea no longer exists after they accidentally nuked themselves in 2017.
The aging gene was identified in 2023; supermarkets now stock tablets that stop aging.
Cancer and other once terminal diseases no longer exist due to advances in medical science.
Animals have the same rights as humans; all meat is grown in laboratories.
What else would you like to have happened by 2050?

Non, Robotic Butlers in all shapes and sizes will be available soon, and with user programming options you can add anything you like, however they will be humanoid as any animal cruelty will send you to the moons penal colony.

Following my blog on our dependency on electricity, it is predicted by some that our solar system will pass through an electrical field which will overload our grids worldwide thus putting us back in the Stonehenge.
The few survivors certainly won´t be living in peace and they will have to start all over again.

In 2050, there has been advances in medicine to the point where, in utero, a test can be given to see if the fetus has a 'politician gene' and is given gene therapy to eradicate said gene.
In 2020, a terrible virus has taken the willfully ignorant onto their final resting place

Because we have a collective knowledge and experience of 2,000 of non-stoneage living.
it is like 'retro' style clothes.
they may look like they are from the 1960's but they always have the modern knowledge of styling, fabrics etc to make them similar, but better.
Politicians will not exist, the people will self rule!

I do wonder what medical advances we will see by 2050.
I think that things like mobile phones and personal computers will be gone in the next ten years. Totally obsolete
I hope that social interaction will have found its way back by 2050. It would be a shame if everybody only interacted via social media or another artificial method.
Even here in my town I see people of every generation on smartphones, but we do take time over our coffee and Anise to talk, so much more satisfying.

But I do think that actually meeting people is good for the health, especially the mental health.
Being stuck in front of a screen isn't.
As for medical advances, I would hope that they could have found a cure for many of the diseases that should be curable.
And that the drugs for those which are already curable be made available to everybody, no matter what their income level.
Money should not decide if people live or die.
Yes, people have to stop ruining the planet with their waste and greed.
But personality wise? I can't see much change happening.

I think we would like to have the future idiot free, but the reality is that we will always have them as Molly has mentioned.
