Was always out and about on the farm, we were often playing hike and seek (hard to find someone between a couple of thousand of the small hay bales). laugh

My best buddy was my horse and nothing better than to play with all farm animals. conversing
Yeah I remember watching a film like that called Animal Farm,..............................laugh
My youngest sister was an ingenious "make our own games" person. We played "Shoeshine Girl", a re-make of hide and seek.

She would "polish" our shoes then the application would "knock us out". As we laid "out cold" she would make her escape. She would run into the house and like a bunch of wackos we'd be looking for her all over!

We also made tunnels, roads, bridges and "mud houses" to create small cities. We would then craft gas stations and stores as well. A project would go for days and cover a large area of our backyard!!

We would cut out cardboard cars and trucks, too!!
I hate to burst your bubble, but that is a fictional book/film wink
I definitely missed that one. laugh
I think the film was down on the farm, not to be confused with the George Orwell classic.
It was a very long time ago when I was at school lol,..........laugh
Yeah that's where I learned about Orwell too.
You crack me up Pat,.................laugh cheers
Kids these days are the most technologically prepared generation we've ever had Because they'r glued to their phones and video games. Learning ICT and how to use different operating systems is invaluable in the modern world and that includes video games software which is an exploding industry with London second only to Tokyo in that industry. I can personally attest that I'v used almost nothing I learned in Secondary School (high school) but learning how to use modern gadgets has been invaluable to me. Especially for finding work. I'm currently typing this on a Playstation. That being said, if I had a kid, I would definitely want him to also take up a sport. Most gamers I know are also into rugby, football or martial arts. (I did play those games when I was younger though).
we played soggy biscuit mostly. It was fun - unless you lose.
I also like to play pearl necklace,...........................conversing
SV

Hide and seek was definately in our old days a popular one.

I do make my kids play these non phone games......best way is to play with them.
Another one I recall was an ice cream shop....transforming the smallest tricycle into an ice cream shop and than selling fake ice cream again abstract coins.
Thats why you and I are great parents Imb,..........hug
