YouTube: YOUR LIFE IS A COMPUTER SIMULATION???
This was posted on another blog which doesn't allow comments.I found it very interesting, and would like to see y'all's take on it.
That blog is gone now...

Thanks Jarred!
This is more like, 'does a falling tree make a sound in the forest if no one is around to hear it' nonsense. IMO
One common denominator I find in so many of these crazy theories, is crazy old men, and that is really concerning me as I get older.
The vibrations become 'a sound' when you detect them...and identify them as such.
The RED pill, ?
REALLY?!
.......
Or some obliging soul more tech-savvy than I could put it up here!
Using a computer in a computer generated world
That dawned on me, too.
I'm getting information regarding a computer simulated universe on a computer that's part of the simulated universe.
Simulations within simulations?
Kinda circular...in a way.
BTW - If this computer is only a simulation, I overpaid.
I'd make a lot of changes if I could tweak the source code of my life.
all this...with our life is just a computer simulation is wierd...

For the sake of brevity, and to address just the 360 degree circle/365 day issue, go to 37:00 on the vid.
Do you mean created(!) itself?
In that case, either way (physical/simulated) we're still left with the rather unsatisfying conclusion that the universe is all effect and no cause.
It's not a new idea.
Search: Self-engendered Egyptian God Atum.
Would you accept the concept of an ancient self-created deity?
If not, why accept the concept of a self-created universe?
Wouldn't either have to 'be' before being able to create?
Some prefer self-creation...ancient and modern.
Others hold to a First Cause that acted outside of time/space/matter...
Or a simulator producing the simulation, if you prefer.
I prefer effects to have cause.
Others don't.
Suit yourself.
What am I quite sure of?
It's not going to be settled on the Blogs of an online singles site.
I'll blog about this issue with the universe at some point. Length arg and sadly it is highly philosophical. One need a good dose of physics to grasp even the most basic of the concepts but we'll see. I don't have high expectations. I know people will rejected it.. which actually sadness me.
Sometimes I feel as if you guys are trivialising the beauty of nature but invoking "intelligent design/creation" - although I am not atheist myself.
We might not be as far apart as first appears.
Looking forward to the Universe Blog.
