current politics

When it comes to politics, I try to keep an open mind. But, I do like to express how I feel when I see something.

What do I mean when I say keep an open mind, primarily....I watch all the main news networks, Fox, CNN, and MSNBC.

There is only one that I have noticed lately that is breaking down the background of Trump's recent picks to fill important roles in his presidency.

The common theme I see going on is racism.

There is no doubt, Trump won.

With the way he won....was concerning to me.

now...

With who he is surrounding himself with...is even more concerning.

BTW...

I like that little story that he shared at one of his rallies...

The story where that lady picks up the ill snake along the road and brings it home to nurse it back to health. The snake ends up biting the lady and kills her. The snake says, "You knew I was a snake."

Yes Johnny you said it correct
There

will be a snake in the houseprofessor
Capri....can't say for sure, but I think I am getting a better sense of what he means when he says..."Make America Great Again."
That can be a way of looking at it. I am waiting for Trump to find a place for Sarah Palin.
I dont normally comment on Political blogs but if Sarah Palin gets a role in his Govt I would hope its got nothing to do with Education, maybe she could head up a Senate committee of Morons.
Johnny! No wonder Bible mentions snake in Paradise.devil
Sarah signed on with Trump early. If she wants a position, one will be there for her.
Now there is an interesting thought. I wonder how many appointments there are, and what are they.
Lets see, the cabinet. Justice Department. FDA, ??
I checked it out. Around 300. I am not sure if he needs the senate to make them?

The Appointments Clause gives the executive branch and the President, not Congress, the power to appoint federal officials. The President has the power to appoint federal judges, ambassadors, and other "principal officers” of the United States, subject to Senate confirmation of such appointments.

Well, I find that interesting!
Johnny, I am aware you're a supporter of Obama and with all the appointments he made, I didn't question personally except for the Muslim judge and swearing in the book of the quran, the same book where all the terrorism advocate to kill all infidels. I am also aware you're a very smart mab, and know exactly who are the infidels.

Now you are aware there's only 3 million Muslims in here right? Can you do the math?

Now don't be too in a rush to judge.

Thanks for the information Cheav.
I am glad you showed up Linds.
In each of those committees, there are a dozen or more people.
Crazy!
laugh Map...

I see her as a potential loose canon and perhaps a potential asset to the up and coming administration.

dunno
Bene...

Time will tell all. Unless Trump continues to do secret meetings with the media not being allowed access.
Yes she did Nath....I would be very surprised if she does not get some sort of position.
Cheav....

Just for the benefit of our nation, I feel we need to pay attention here....wow!...300....hmmm.

Thank you.
SR...

I will be straight forward honest with you, this post has nothing to do with my like or dislike for any political figure.

Yes, I do like Obama...but this has nothing to do with that.

It is pretty bad when one of Fox's own has some concerns about the potential path Trump may be taking here.

There is objective data that points to an agenda that does not support all Americans....that is all I am saying here.

Thank you SR. I honestly hope Trump does make our country "Great Again." He is a very talented man...
But to be completely fair SR...it is still early and things could turn around in no time. So, I think we should just pay attention.

Johnny it's going to be very interesting when the ones who are all hyped up about Trump being President that as soon as he doesn't follow through on at least some of his campaign promises there will be an uproar.

I heard Trump say during his 60 minute interview that he wasn't going to prosecute Hillary Clinton that he had more important things to do.Now during his campaign I recall him saying that he was going to hire a special prosecutor.

Yes Johnny Trump won but WE the public lost.
loulou it's going to be interesting to say the least.
Cheav....all I can say is time will tell.

I still do have hope he will do what is right for all of us. Even though, that would be tough....it is difficult to make everyone happy.

wave
L.L.,

He is staying consistent to how he ran his election process. It is still early though.

I just heard today that he held a private meeting with a head political figure from another country in Trump Tower. If you remember, he said he was not going to announce his strategic moves when it came to dealing with ISIS. I wonder if he will not take that same mindset with many other things he may do. dunno That may explain why I heard once that he did not want to stay in the White House...so he could therefore hold private meetings. dunno

It seems as if the kool-aid must have tasted really good.

....all speculation here.

CC

I am waiting to see if Trump is actually the politician Americans did not want...could mean trouble for some of his supporters...will Trump resist making himself more rich...as most of his products are made in China and other cheap labour countries...seems odd to me...time will tell...

dunno
CC....

I am not so sure that he supporters will be in an uproar if he does not follow through on certain things. I believe he tapped into their emotional state instead of their rational state.

Like Trump said, he could shoot somebody and not lose a vote....

dunno dunno dunno dunno

My 2 pennies anyway.

Just how do you consider your political stance Lue? Fascists, Liberal, Socialists. Marx's Communists.
I am just curious. I am aware that it is not Conservative.
johnny well if I had voted for Trump and he didn't follow through on what he said he was going to do then I would certainly be in an uproar.

Regardless of whether he fed off anyones emotional state or not.
CC....thumbs up thumbs up , and I might be wrong too CC.
Once again John. Any one can endorse any one they feel to. It is called freedom of choice.
Lu. I am not being disrespectful to you. It is I just have a hard time following your statements. I would like to find common ground with you. The way it is now, I am not sure that is possible?
Of all of the people that comment on this site, I see you as the most to the left?
There is nothing wrong with that. I just do not know how to respond?
Cheav, if I may interject about your concern. She's very involved with our politics and absolutely hates and has no respect for Trump. In fact she openly invited all those Americans to move to her country.

But I expressed about her concerns in a very civil way and she's astute with what she believes in.

Now figure it out.
Lind

For what ever reason you like Trump...that to me is mind boggling....but that is my opinion...wait and see what he can deliver...but have your eyes wide open... wine
That helps Lue.
I do agree that we all need to hold Trumps feet to the fire.
I can see positives.
Sounds as though he is going to help Canada with the pipe line. I am hoping some of that trickles down to all of us. I am not really behind it though.
Clinton? We will see. Not sure of the outcome of that issue either??
You mean the millions that voted for him? I thought you were smart Lou, with due respect, if everything that I've been telling you since I was very strongly believing in him as the majority of us and still don't know why, then you're really stupid Lou, and I say it with respect. Look at his platform, you act as though I'm the stupid one and all of us that voted for him.

Respect is in order, he's our president, we prevailed. Accept it. Don't act ignorant why we won.

You on the one hand must have a personal thing against him. Nevertheless he earned through our support and vote that he is our leader.

Worry about your political leaders and accept him AZ our president.
I missed your comment Linds.
Well, still, sometimes it is hard to wrap the brain around a stance.
Just trying to figure it out. I do not want to come off uneducated. I am not into alienating any one.
I just want to hear a solid perspective, that has some benefits to it. Something I can see and maybe agree with.
Oh, I forgot, I can't do that. I voted for trump! (Just a joke).
Professor who correctly forecast Trump's victory predicts possible impeachment for the president-elect

"Donald Trump caught the world by surprise when he emerged victorious at the U.S. elections, but his stay at the White House could be short-lived, according to a professor who has correctly predicted presidential poll outcomes for the last 30 years.

Allan Lichtman, a political historian at the American University, told CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Thursday that Trump's history of playing "fast and loose with the law," his unpredictability as well as lack of public service experience could lead to an impeachment.

He added the prognostication was based on a 'gut feeling' rather than the scientific methods he employed in predicting Trump's election victory."

You have posted that before Soc. "Could" is the word that stands out to me. I do not see that as a prediction at all.
I see it as a feeling.
Lol let's see shall we?

I can imagine how elated his enemies will be. sad flower
Maybe specially you Socrates. Fig some more. Bring it on. wave
Cheavy

I agree it is his gut feeling. He said so.
I prefer to wait and see.

By the way, I never posted that before.
If I did, please tell me where.
I do not remember where Soc. I just remember seeing something like it.
Personally, I would like to hear your opinions. Not the opinions of others.
A lot of the votes D Trump got were protest votes! People in the US are tired of the obamas, clintons, etc. Our country needs a chance for some fresh air! We are hoping that Trump is going to be that piece of "fresh air"!thumbs up If he isn't, we elect someone different in 4 yrs!thumbs up
True Jim. But we are also voting against the Bushes also.
Jeb for example!!
