The end of friendship......

The worst enemy of friendship is change in behavior of one partner or both.
Yet i cant understand that why and how this change takes place when they are already friends....?????confused

I have also wondered this, I think views change,situations change. or maybe they just out grow eachother

First I think real friendship is rare and hard to find. And, besides the above posted statements, many people just don't want to make the effort to keep a friendship going for one reason or another. dunno grin cool

Nothing stays the same.

It is a truth of life that everyone changes.

The enduring relationships are the ones that weather such changes.

I use the word "relationship" in its broadest possible sense, as this relates to "significant other" relationships, friendships and especially relationships between parents and their children.

Changes are tests of relationships. They test whether the relationship is valued or not.

If you value a relationship, you will work to re-negotiate it in order to adjust to changes.

That's what relationships are: work.

Anyone who rests on their laurels and pretends there is no work is doomed to failure.

Weed your garden or watch it choke on weeds. It is your choice.
