In Oakland California severa individuals illegally moved into a two story warehouse. There was only one entrance. access to the second floor was only by a rickety wooden stairs made from shipping pallet. The first floor is described as being filled with furniture and crates. Zoning officials were aware of complaints and had opened an investigation into the zoning violations. Last night a rave (party) was held there. Several hundred young people attennded. A fire broke out. There were no sprinklers. The stairs burnt and many were trapped. This morning with only 20% of the ruins searched over 20 bodies have been found. Many others are still missing and are believed to be inside somewhere..

Yeah, I read about it this morning! The news is saying as high as 35 bodies and more to come! What a tragedy! I think all of the people were young in their 20's etc.
My news radio now confirms 24 youngster in Californnia. Debris is being removed in buckets and sifted. Slow and heartbreaking. Many families standing outside the Perimeter waiting for word.
The people were there of their own free will .
No one can or should be held accountable for a tragic accident.
