Poverty and the Catholic church

Recently I saw that the President of the Philippines..Roddy rodrigo wants to provide free contraception to over 8 million poor people, but the Catholic church wants to prevent this, and also abortion.

103 million people live in the islands of the Philippines, and id hazard a guess some 80million are living in poverty.. I've seen for myself the way these people live and how many kids they churn out.

The Catholic church has a lot to answer for with not allowing contraception in Africa where Aids has spread like wild fire, its not all their fault but they have contributed.

You cannot keep having kids, with no job and no education, bringing a life into this world because your Church says its ok to have as many kids as you want, who's going to feed them ?..not the church..doh

Teenage pregnancies in the far east has increased due to lack of education, and contraception..Women in their 30s having 10 kids look like they are in their 50's..washing clothes all day in the streams, cooking.

I hate to involve the church but these are very crucial matters that need to be addressed thumbs up
I have always hated the RC church for its stand on many subjects that they use to control their followers. People just need to understand that the choice is theirs and to ignore these manipulators!

the philippines will roll in this century soon.
they know about the product, and family planning. women are getting the power.
The problem is that they think is some free choice. but it is not really.
your body wants it. socially it is pushed. and in the family view it is forced.
Ive been to rome, and the vatican, all those churches on every corner, and the vast amount if people visiting the vatican at 39 euro a time, pushing them through because so many oeople are waiting,
Yet you get people there living on the streets, and begging, old people bent double,
The church is meant to help people but they dont they just keep their money for themselves.

And the vatican classes itself as a country, not part of the eu, so pays no taxes, yet no passport controls.
Bazzer... I worked it out the income the vatican has from tourism is about 100 million euros a year.. Funny how the vaticans books are not open to anyone to investigate !
Yep and seeing how radical the Philippine president is in some of his politics, he hopefully will go ahead and do something about family planning.
