blogs

The first thing that I look for now on blogs is the ability to inter react with the writer.
If I find that it is not open to responses, I just don't won't bother to read it or look at
whatever is posted.
If it's not a conversation, then I am not engaged.
It's a pity, because some people have some great ideas and subject matter that I
would love to discuss
I wonder how many people feel the same way and respond in a similar fashion? Many
I bet.

It's just a waste of time......IMHO

dunno

Howdy Son wave By any chance are you meaning my blog?
Hi Itchy.....no, I don't mean you.

I mean Jarrod......he's always closed.

You are open 99% of the time and have great discussions. You are so open and honest, I
wonder sometimes how you can let out so many personal things......

Through your blogs and your comments, I almost feel that I know you, and more, I really like
you and your point of view.

cheers
I was going to say that the blog below yours would be an interesting topic to discuss but...?

Maybe you could write a blog about it allowing comments? dunno
Hi Vikingwave
viking obviously the option to allow or disallow comments are there for a reason and gives the blogger the choice.

I don't understand what the fuss is about.

Maybe the blogger doesn't feel that he needs to allow comments so he can avoid disagreements.

I read all blogs whether they are open to discussion or not.

Live and let live.
I do not feel the same way as you, Son.
I do not expect to interact with OP, for i myself could rarely find the time to babysit the blog.
Aw thanks Son, I like you too hug
personal stuff as in private? don't know really I suppose were all different but I wasn't always such an open book .. ever paint your own portrait so well that you loose your real image within the canvas, and not only can it be difficult to get back out of, but no one recognises you when you do.. can be rather shocking too for some giggle

Put my blog up for the right reasons, since closed it for the right reasons also.

Jarred once used to always keep his blogs open, he has his reasons why he no longer does.

You don't engage on many blogs, so obviously the only ideas you find really interesting are the ones that don't allow comments?

Take that a step further, and maybe they don't really want their interesting blog pulled to pieces, misunderstood, or dragged off in different directions? They want to say what they have to say and be done, not defend it, debate it, or drag it back on track.

Room for all sorts on CS. As Itchy says, Jarred used to allow comments. Live and let live

I'm sure all bloggers will strive mightily to come up with conversations which will coax you out of your castle, since you have now set the bar so high. roll eyes
Hiya Biff wave

As you know I've written quite a few blogs on similar topic but never has Viking commented on any.conversing
Just got back from a shopping trip.......thanks for the comments.

I wasn't intending to criticize anybody, just mumbling my opinion.

Sure, everybody is allowed their way of doing things, including me.

I just thought that this was a kind of forum to stimulate conversation.

Guess I was wrong.

Not the first time I was wrong.

I'm getting pretty experienced at it.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

I am.
