Waking up isn't always a good thing
Finally it seemed as thought I would sleep well for once.
The bed was comfortable, the blankets warm and the pillows were fluffed to near perfection.
All seemed to be going well for once.
Side note : I've not been sleeping well for the past week, a few hours here and there, which normally wouldn't be an issue as that happens.
But I've not been dreaming much lately.
Anyhow.
Things looked good.
I was pleasenlty ensconced in some castle and battles were brewing.
The dream was raring to go.
Suddenly... pain...
omfg pain pain pain.
I sat up so fast I think the blood in my skull slammed into my eyeballs.
There was no momentary "what's going on" though.
Nope, I knew what was happening.
A cramp, and not your run of the mill slight tensing and a grimace of discomfort.
But the kind where you briefly wonder if somehow the muscles of your leg has decided to forcibly remove itself.
Clenching my teeth together, my reaction was to drive my fist into the knot of muscle and hope the the addition of knuckles would somehow make the original pain forget itself and focus on the new.
I've been told that getting up and walking it off helps.
Yeah, sure, whatever works for you.
Even the slightest twitch sends sharp owies into my receptors.
I don't move.
Just jam my knuckles into my leg and slowly massage the pain into subservience.
Or, it seems to do that.
So all my hopes of a nice deep relaxing sleep are shot.
And I limp around for a bit.
I'm wondering if I should try for a nap.
