Republicans surge...

Well it looks like Republican candidate for governor of Virginia is leading the Democrat challenger by double digits.
The race in New Jersey is tighter but Republican Christei remains in the lead against the failing Corzine. Obama thought it so urgent he had to grace his presence in that campaign. If things "pan out" as forecasted next election he will have triple the stops. LOL.applause
Now we can take America back from the socialists and return it to the democracy our fore fathers envisioned!cheering banana cheers

Give me a break. The American people are speaking and they dont want higher taxes, government run healthcare, sluggish economy, poor foreign policy any longer!!! They now realize the mistakes made last November and are now making up for that mistake!
Cheers!!!cheers

I don't know about NJ but I do know why McDonald won in VA. The gubenatorial election following a presidential election in this state always goes to the opposite party. Also, Cree Deeds lost for 2 reasons his campagne sucked. McDonald outdid him on TV ads like mad. McDonalds ads were all the viewer saw. I think he outspent Deeds on TV ads 3:1. The other reason may sound racial but black voters didn't come out in droves because it was just 2 white guys running. I don't think it mattered to them that Deeds was from the same party as Obama. Just stating my opinion for what it's worth.
The silver lining for us is that Deeds is still a senator. I guess you forgot about that aspect huh? LOL

BTW georgie porgie, here's a little poll I dug up from 2007 you might find interesting.

Congratulations to the Republican victors in this special election year!banana This is a sign of the times with the Democrats losing popularity on a daily basis and poll after poll showing voter discontent with that party..the Republicans are posed for a comeback year in 2010. Obama and the Democrats in Congress are becoming extremely unpopular in this country and thankfully elections are right around the corner.
Of course the lefto spin machines will be out in full force now...all we will hear from them is George W. Bush, richest 10%, blah blah blah blah...doh
Congrats to the victors and to of many more victories to come!!!cheers

lol; oh yes; those 8 years with the worst president in history were magical; now it will take decades to fix the greed and corruption that ruined our country. Taking the country back 80 years financially and 50 years with our civil rights is great.

And YOU are the party of socialism. The banks, airlines, savings and loan, Donald Trump 3 times; the list goes on; where all of these entities had their hands out begging for corporate welfare and because they bought off the Republicans they got it. If that isn't socialism to have the goverment bail you out, then I don't know what is.

In fact right after the bailout of the auto industry, for a 4 week period we were actually a communistic country where more business was bought out by the government than was in the private sector. Tell me about it.

Republicans want less government for themselves in the likes of no regulations; but they want MORE government when they are begging to be bailed out and for the private citizen. And any party endorsing the most embarassing candidate in history in that rich white trash airhead Sarah Palin is in trouble.

The democrats are no better; they are wimps and people pleasers that are steam rolled by the Republicans.

Both parties suck; they need to get rid of lobbyists, and have campaign reform. Until it happens NOTHING will change.

Well mjames your opinion is noted. I respectfully acknowledge your opinion but unfortunately you are completely wrong in regards to the Republican party.
As for the economic mess we are in please put the blame to where it belongs..the legislative branch. Prior to 2006 the economy was fine considering we are fighting a "war on terror"...remember that? no probably not..
After the Democrat takeover in 2006 we have seen record high gas prices, economic downturn in the real estate markets, record high unemployment claims being filed (oh..as of a month ago..)
and on and on and on.
Please put the blame where the blame belongs.
But I do believe a third party option should be a good idea. I wouldnt mind seeing a third party option though im Republican all the way!!

clinton the democrat had our country in the balck and balenced , bush the republican has sold or great grand childrens, great grand children a debt that can never be paid. a lot of conservative democrats , which are more main stream are not that much different that mainstream republicans, its the left and right wing obstructionalist ideologys that take over, corrupting the real will of the democracy.

Yes lovermonster your right during the Clinton years we were balanced and in the black. Thank the Republican congress for that!
Slick Willie didnt really have anything to do with it other than signing legislation into law. The Republican controlled congress deserves our thanks for a job well done! Considering what the Democrats have done to our economy the past 3 years..i think you can agree it was much better than. Thank you!!applause banana
