You bring your cell phone in anticipation of a phone call pre-arranged to "save you" from having to fulfill the date arrangements.

You have your cell phone on, but you explain beforehand, it's only for use in emergency cases.

You forget that your cell phone is "on" and in your purse...it rings... another guy you had hoped to hear from just called for a date and you say good bye to me and leave.

figure that I'm not that interested in you, otherwise I'd have remembered everyone's name you mentioned!

realize that there's a lot of information being given to digest, and time will allow for remembering names.

ask me repeatedly to recite the family names back to you, knowing that repitition is the basis for memorization...it's important to you that I remember those names!

kindly tell me not to worry about it, as you too have difficulty remembering names for awhile.

You regret making a comment about the shoes for fear that I've taken your remarks as a hint to buy them for you.
