Dear Pilolo and dvdmcm33,
I entered this forum believing there would be a civilized group of World Cup enthusiast; unfortunately, you both quickly dispelled this idea.

When one has to use derogatory language like "garlic & olive oil-eating scum bags", it is not only disrespectful, but fully establishes one’s quality of character, and further indicates the doubts you both have that a big team like England could beat a little guy like Portugal.

I happen to be Portuguese and I guess a “garlic & olive oil-eating scum bag”. What bothers me most is that no one else on this forum has been disrespectful in their postings. It’s too bad that you felt the need to lower the standards.

By the way…no need to reply. I don’t plan to return.

PORTUGAL...ok, wishful thinking, BRAZIL is likely to win and beautiful to watch … even if they don’t win. The English spelling = BRAZIL, the Portuguese spelling = BRASIL. BRASILA is its capitol.

I am new to this on-line forum thing, but Wow, I am impressed with this thread. Great topic guys. Regardless of the position anyone has taken, I think it is wonderful that you are having this discussion.
