Scubadiva: Maybe it depends on what you do within the limitations of your disability.
I've seen people who do some pretty extraordinary things (amputee being a Master TKD instructor) and I've seen some who sit on the sofa all day and do nothing to improve their lives. Example of the latter is a former colleague who has diabetis and has to eat a very strict diet, but he didn't and ended up losing half of his foot. Then he whined about how he couldn't get dates. The writing was pretty much on the wall that the next disaster was around the corner because he just wouldn't follow the doctors' advice and exercise some eating discipline. I wouldn't date a guy like that either, not because of the diabetis, but because of his attitude.
