zambe: Few hours ago, a Summit between the fastest growing economy and the poorest continent opened in Egypt. The continent which enrich Europe and provide resources to America for the last hundreds years now it become the boxing box for the east vs the west. Most of the western media present the fight as China exploiting the western farms. And China say, I am just doing faire business with independent countries, and count them as partners while you “west” only know and like to deal with pariahs. In my view, after visiting many African countries, I saw many new Development infrastructures which carry Chinese symbols, while the only western symbols which is hardly to be miss anyway in Africa is western languages, cultures, second or third hands items and harbour where ships can park and load wealth to the west. So what is your view on the new marriage? Do you think the old marriage was an idealistic? Have you ever visit or read about Africa and try to find the truth on this? Where you stand on this issue? Do you think China could do worst than what happened to the victims in Soweto, Angola, Liberia, Sierra Leone Zaire, Rwanda, and now Darfur, DRC Congo etc?
We import a lot of stuff from China at the cost of our own industries (Textile etc) We'll wait and see.
We have a real good Chinese dentist a few blocks away.
