if it gets too cold, you can come down to NJ, sweetie. It won't feel like FL but it may be considerably warmer than your neck of the woods. Besides, I won't charge you for heat or any thing else, for that matter

Thanks Hank .... your lady friend just my take issue with that!

My house is new and well insulated but I don't have a chimney. If I had the money to have one put in or buy a pellet stove, I would be able to pay for my oil.

It will cost me $1000 for a tank of oil every 3 months. I have a hard enough time coming up with that much every six months for my taxes.

I have heard so much talk about pellet stoves and alternative heating it makes my head spin.

I posted this in the international forums but it was suggested I post it here to get more of a response.

Working in the hospitality industry I have many opportunities to meet folks from all over the world. One of the things I like best about my job.

I recently chatted with several families from England and the UK. What we find rather pricey in the US, these families found very inexpensive. We americans complain about our gas prices being $4.00/gallon and the family from England said their gas is $15.00/gallon.

I also notice in the forums there seem to be more get togethers overseas, where a bit of traveling is involved than in the US.

My question is how do you manage with costs being much higher? Are the wages much higher than the US?

You see CS is just a better place with Leo here. It appears I am not the only one who feels this way.

I know I have often joked about not being able to get my son to move out but I have to admit he has really come through for me this time.

Since losing my job several years ago, I have struggled financially to keep my house. My son suggested giving up his apartment and moving back in with me to help us both out financially. I took him up on his offer.

I'm not sure how long this arrangement will have to last but I sure do appreciate his help now.

Does anyone else have an example of their kids coming to their rescue?

True but by the time a man is old enough to make the decision on his own, it is more painful. Parents don't wait until you are old enough to pick your name. They make that decision for you.

My son doesn't think it was a bad decision.

And why would you hate your parents for such a thing?

OK I have to ask ... Ship why did you decide at 20 to have this done? Obviously it must have been a pretty important reason.

I have never given this subject much thought. When my son was born, his father insisted he be circumcised. I never asked why he was so insistent.

I have talked to Leo. He is fine but not ready to come back. He says Hi to all and is touched by all those who are concerned.

I told him I was going to give out his phone number so anyone who missed him could call and he justed laughed.

So anyone wanting to call and say Hi to Leo, do a thread search "Would anyone venture to say who they trust on this site". You will find his number there. He would love it!
