You really think they are in it just for the money? It's not like they are movie star rich ya know....

I don't see the God or church connection. Have an open mind. It's just science trying to advance for humankind. Either way, that is how I perceive it.

The experiment is well documented over many years and the video that I supplied was a good illustration, just shows the strangeness of the experiment. There are other links besides the wiki one if you wanna use the old wiki is not credible argument...they are the ones who are certified and trying to do some innovative research...so I side with them since they are the scientists who have a better understanding for quantum mechanics....

Like I said, that is how I perceive it and you perceive it your way. No worries....nobody is trying to change anybody here.

I can bend a spoon btw....

Continued from wiki....

In everyday experience we are accustomed to a seemingly analogous result. If one tests a firearm by locking it in a gun mount and firing several rounds at a target, a scatter pattern of bullet holes will appear in the target. We know from long experience that a poorly made gun firing poorly made ammunition will scatter shots fairly widely. We can learn and understand how flight path deviations are caused; more exacting construction of both firearms and ammunition leads to tighter and tighter patterns of bullet holes. But that is not what happens in the new double-slit experiment.

Returning again to electrons, when electrons are fired one at a time through a double-slit apparatus they do not cluster around two single points directly on lines between the emitter and the two slits, but instead one by one they fill in the same old interference pattern with which we have now become quite familiar. However, they do not arrive at the screen in any predictable order. In other words, knowing where all the previous electrons appeared on the screen and in what order tells us nothing about where the next electron will hit.[22]

The electrons (and the same applies to photons and to anything of atomic dimensions used) arrive at the screen in an unpredictable and arguably causeless random sequence, and the appearance of a causeless selection event in a highly orderly and predictable formulation of the by now familiar interference pattern has caused many people to try to find additional determinants in the system which, were they to become known, would account for why each impact with the target appears.[23]

Recent studies have revealed that interference is not restricted solely to elementary particles such as protons, neutrons, and electrons. Specifically, it has been shown that large molecular structures like fullerene (C60) also produce interference patterns.[24]

shamrock shamrock shamrock loquacious superlatives. Was probably written by a lwayer and fed to wiki ... whatever they can do to justify a paycheck, just like churches do , using the 'probability' of god to justify tax free income sources. thumbs down the force of money knows no bounds.

both of them belong in jail painting white lines on the road system. cool

What the heck?

That may be the worst thing I have ever heard you say.

I simply contend that there is no such thing as a smoking joint that you cannot pass.

And as crotalus would say, you have zero evidence that a non-passing joint exists. All the credible and legitimate scientists in the world will tell you that you can PASS THAT JOINT!

those are quantum theory scientists Mike, who I hesitate to call scientists at all; because, they are really just wayward god believers who found their way into the science feild and have to come up with enough substance to call it legitimate. The very essence of quantum mechanics is to use the word probable where no possibility exists. They're nutty guys who need to validate their income. giggle

Just a couple of logical notes - both addressed to non-believers (logic being generally a waste for believers).

First, "atheism" is not "lack of belief." If that were true, your dog would be an atheist. The logically correct definition is: "The philosophical conviction that there are no supernatural beings."

Second, of course a negative can be proved! E.g.. there are no aardvarks in my room (a simple search will prove that). That's one of those cliches - much like the falsely worded "exception that proves the rule" (exactly the opposite was actually said) - that continue to circulate unthinkingly.

are you saying I have to take your word that there no ardvarks in your room? laugh I don't believe it. The mere mention of ardvarks puts one in your head at the moment you think it and therefore, your head obviously being in the room, also puts that same ardvark in the room with you. sticking out tongue generally excepted rule # 383 wink wave

So your saying that no one got rich from the crusades...

The people who profit from wars are hardly ever the ones fighting in them. People or nations are manipulated into war using all forms of exploitation including religion. Terrorist are funded. Why? Because the one funding them is making tons of money somehow.

Canadian Chicks are as good as Aussie Chicks at asking for one thing and expecting a man to read their thoughts they want another.

thumbs up people are so quick to jump on a guy....evidence isnt even required and they're stomping all over the guy.

and this one just happens to be paying attention to what SHE says she wants in HER profile. After all the women who complain and accuse men of not reading their profile, yada yada.... no wonder guys dont read them, who cares if youre not writing what you really want.. feck me. dunno

And the main problem is that the $700 Billion is coming from the people that DO pay their taxes, not the speculators and millionares that don't.

naw... they dont have tax money for this....just like they didnt have it for the war in Iraq.... they'll be borrowing money from the world bank, or the IMF, not from tax payers... they are essentially mortgaging your future taxes, and your country's assets.

I'm not sure why people don't go to the root of the problem. I know why the big wigs don't, because its their system, they benefit from it. The monatary sytem as it is is debt based, has no backing and even when it was backed by gold it lacked accountability. The world bank and the IMF have no assets (backing) for the money they print and then loan to countries who then loan to citizens. Even the assets you put up as collateral in total would not cover the debt. These books can't be balanced! But the WB and IMF don't care, they live in opulence off the interest, off loans to support war and off people who have lost any sense of fiscal accountability.

All this 700 billion dollar crap has people focusing on symptoms, not on the cause.

Just show me anything that has EVER been written to compare with the sermon on the mount, and I will be impressed.

As psychiatrist J.T. Fisher asserted in 1951:

"If you were to take the sum total of all authoritative articles ever written by the most qualified of psychologists and psychiatrists on the subject of mental hygiene--if you were to combine them and refine them and cleave out the excess verbiage--if you were to take the whole of the meat and none of the parsley, and if you were to have these unadulterated bits of pure scientific knowledge concisely expressed by the most capable of living poets, you would have an awkward and incomplete summation of the Sermon on the Mount. And it would suffer immeasurably through comparison. For nearly two thousand years the Christian world has been holding in its hands the complete answer to its restless and fruitless yearnings. Here ... rests the blueprint for successful human life with optimum mental health and contentment."Bnatural, they all pale in comparison. None are as complete, and none are as beautiful.

Sorry Al, you just did not "get it" at all.

To put it simply: It's the deamons and angels who are fighting, NOT flesh and blood, not mankind. This prevents mankind from having a choice in the spiritual war. It is NOT our War!!! The Battle Belongs To The Lord. I'm sitting this one out... being still.but earlier you said..HealthyLiving wrote:

There are spiritual laws. There is a war going on in the heavenly's and placing man, one against the other is their favorite pastime!seems you are contradicting yourself. No Al, I am not contradicting myself at all.

It is their way, those in the spitual realm.
They do have influence on man and they play us, one against the other.

You can choose not to participate in their war, and rightly so, as you have no choice in the mater, it's their war, not ours. BUT, they will still do as they will, cause death to your loved ones, to make you not believe, or any number of other schemes.
